Why not just sand it front to back and leave it like the race teams used to do?
Exactly! However, I don't know how much of it is the shoe Vs the ski without trying an oem shoe first.

First coat of paint! Went with Rustoleum marine topside. First time trying the roll and tip method.

Curious to see how that product works out for you.
So when someone buys a Ready-To-Perform Reaper or other Krash product, how is Krash installing the shoe/intake/pump? are they doing all this grinding, sanding and fitting AFTER the mold and paint, and then completely repainting the bottom before its sold? seems like double the work versus getting it right the first time
*Pro-tip paint when it is 70 degrees or cooler. Gives it more time to level before it dries. Or make sure and thin the paint before use.
You might want to join OzFreeride and post some questions there. Have seen plenty for sale in the classifieds recently, so people are completing the builds. There's a nice looking one currently for sale with a good spec. Might be worth picking the brains of the seller.I have some ideas if it comes to that. But it wont be pretty. I have seen some Reapers with UMI steering so people have made it work. Just haven't been able to get any replies or pictures from those people..
Hey so what's up with the masking tape ? Do you applie it backwards, sticky side out transferring bolt pattern to where you want to mount ?
Lay it sticky side down against what i want to copy, then peel it and lay it where I want to drill the holes.
Oh damn I had it backwards. I was like how does even do that with the sticky side out... lol
Thank you
