Yes the new KV 997 engine 50 Cal, power is amazing, yes I had setbacks also.

The problem is all the rtp skis posted are 50 cal. Not a single reaper has been delivered and I am 6-7 months in for a wait. Enough is enough.

The hulls are sitting ready and waiting a year for an engine is just insane.

Yeah waiting is frustrating, after riding my ski with the 997 engine the reaper would be a complete blast with that much power.

according to somebody I talked to he got his RTP predator in oregon. I was told it lasted 2 tanks of gas before the engine would no longer start with electrical issues and was sent to krash for warranty. They told him it would be 3 weeks to be resolved and still hasnt gotten the ski back.

That is what I was told by somebody, i have 0 knowledge if there is any truth behind it or not.

Good to hear Krash is honoring warranty but I would hope they start stocking more of those components domestically. Sounds like you were down for about 3 weeks in total, and for a lot of people whom may only have 1 ski, that can be 1/4 of their riding season. Hopefully Krash starts stockpiling thoae parts in NJ like they said they were going to, sooner than later.

Overall though, glad to hear you got it fixed and realtively pain free. Also love the stator fixed to cover, saves so much time and frustration :)

Yea 3 weeks is a crazy amount of time to be down when you can have any other part in 2 days. I'm lucky to have 12 weeks of riding all year

Actually Ronnie Renner got his RTP Reaper already. Probably helps that he is famous and all though.

I got my predator in Daytona and got about 3 days on it there both in lakes and surf. Been riding it a lot this month, unfortunately ICE didn’t come off the lakes till around the 1st of May in MN.

We have all seen some minor issues that needed sorting, as for the “ship the ski back” for warranty as mentioned above... I hope if he didn’t troubleshoot himself, he got on the phone with Sam and the Krash EE and was proficient enough to trouble shoot with them prior. I certainly would rather turn a wrench if need be with warranty supported parts and keep riding than send it back to a known super busy company that is trying to assemble and get skis delivered to many of you.

The 3 of us in MN have seen electrical issues that all point back to a plug on the flywheel cover. Not ebox crazy issues. Mine actually was resolved after I tried a few things temporarily at the lake by adding a ground from the ebox to the engine. Obviously pointing back to the single ground coming from there like Kawi and Yamaha do. Still working with krash in parts to resolve the factory connector.

Although they do ship them noticeably Rich as hell... I don’t blame them for warranty reasons. All 3 of ours have or have had wet/ black plugs and need to be cleared out in the mids to hit hard at times. As the temps have gotten warmer the engines are performing better. The head and pipe seem to remain much cooler than any other aftermarket yami I’ve owned (dasa) or been familiar with in our group (TPE, Xscream, etc) with dual cooling. That’s my observation. I feel there is more tuning in that regard that can help.

These skis so far have ripped pretty good, and I do really love the predator both in tray width and feel over say the comparable in size and price Rickter Edge that I’ve always actually wanted and almost purchased. And after riding a buddies 2015 Edge / 950 Dasa I’m happy with the money I spent on Krash. (Although I love his ski, I feel it’s not hitting as hard on bottom, and still not as comfortable on it as I was moving to this predator hull from my other aftermarket ski.)

Just my observations. You can go buy another used RTR ski right now at the peak summer rate or wait it out... I think I’d wait it out.

Spoke with Sam from Krash this evening. He told me that the delay on our skis is due to engine case machining issues where the bendix tolerances were machined too large.

Im done, pulling my deposit, good luck to you all.

Hey man Just thought of it, I see you are out of Chicago... disclaimer: I’m not a Krash fan boy, just a fairly satisfied customer even after the 9 months we waited.
You should cruise up to Minnesota and ride one of ours before you decide to bail. It’s 6 hours away, 3 of us here have them and none of us have been left dead in the water. Like I said in my previous post we’ve all experienced some similar issues but overall fairly pleased with what was delivered.

Skis are set to ship out in july. Which has a 5% chance of being true.

Add few weeks for shipped.

August. I don't need it going into winter.

fwiw: I have run about 6-7 tanks of gas through my 50cal rtp with the only engine issue being I ran out of gas twice. lol

The bilge outlet really is too low on the hull I'm sure that I will be moving it up this winter. I already replaced the ^%$R#$ flap scupper with @Ochocoronas versa plug.

I'm running 93 @ 40:1 temps by me have been high 75f-85f

Just take your bilge hose and make a loop going up higher, water will not flow up and then down.
