Has there even been any videos of their test skis? Any actual footage of their motor running? All I have seen is vaporware CAD videos.

PREACH! Change is scary. Look at motocross. (Speaking from something I know well) we never thought we would stop mixing gas and hauling ass.....then the yz400f hit and everyone said 4 strokes are too heavy and it will never win. It was met with tons of criticism and resistance but look at the sport now? Then las year an electric dirt bike was entered and actually competitive in the Red Bull strait rythem....no one takes it serious but who knows what 15 years will bring.
I'm new to all of this compared to 99% of you guys.
My background, I grew up racing motocross on a competitive level as well as BMX. I also raced downhill mountain bikes and have my share of injuries that bother me as I'm sure you all do. I am a veteran and am now a lineman by trade with 2 little kids. That being said.....
There is always the salty old experiences guys that want it their way and don't want anyone in their comfort zone or sport cause newbies don't belong. I respect those guys....they are necessary....
So the point I'm trying to make and am failing to get to because I suck at this.....if it wasn't for guys like Mark Gomez and companies like Krash industries I wouldn't have found this sport. I was dying to get back on a bike and just drag my bars in a turn but the fact of it is, my wife stays at home with 2 kids and if I bury it in 4th gear I could lose my career and my house. Not saying stand ups are not dangerous but I can definitely enjoy learning something new and railing come corners.
I think Krash is amazing and the contact I've had with them they have been overly helpful. I believe they love this sport and want to part of the progression. I think it's amazing and it is goig to bring about a huge turning point. And everyone talking about them making money.....what are businesses for? You don't think Kawasaki and Yamaha make a killing on markup?? I know a 10500 dirt bike is pretty ridiculous but they are selling them bone stock....
I'm all about change and progression and I think these guys are badass.
I'm sure I'll get flamed but I'm too old to care.

I agree. The change is there it's just whether people see it or not. And they don't. The hope for some of us is that krash succeeds and others will follow, creating versatility and lower costs. I come from motocross as well and change is everywhere. At the end of the day though you still have the choice to ride whatever you like. I still ride two strokes because four strokes are boring to me. I sold my SXR and got into freestyle because having something 400 pounds was boring. And I may end up selling my hurricane and buying one of these if it works out well.
I hate to see everyone get frustrated but would you rather them ship it to you in a compete rush with a lack of quality or would you rather sit back for a bit in your fancy little office chair and let the people get this done the right way ONCE?

As a future owner with a deposit dropped on the first round of skis, I believe that we need to remember every time we have dealt with almost any contractor. They say one price and time to get the job then once you are in bed with them so to speak they steal the damn covers. Higher price or longer time because of yada yada. We all know what that's like. The cranks actually were in about a month ago but were out of spec so they need to to be recut. I spoke with Nick directly around the 10th or so and got the scoop. No idea why I was getting a different story from others involved. Once I talked to Nick the news wasn't ideal but at least I didn't feel like I was getting smoke blown up my aspirin.
I believe Nick is taking all of this very seriously and I have decided to simply be patient. While I was in knee jerk mode early on, after thinking about many of my contracted jobs, I find it pretty easy to believe what I was told. I think that I wold rather wait and get the ski right rather than get it early.
Again, I have no idea why there was contradictory info early on. That aggravates me more than the delays. But I am now speaking with Nick directly to get my updates and status. Nick said that they will start tooling their own cranks this month (August) or next. It has to be hard to keep all the cats herded. Despite what it sounds like, I'm not some f'n little pushover who accepts every excuse. I just want to bring a little good will and a schosh of faith to Nick and what he is trying to do. We the jetski community as a whole should too. He's not Toyota, Husqvarna, or Yamaha. He's a guy literally half way around the damn planet trying to make a buck and a positive change for the sport. The down payment was $500 so what is the real risk? A few tanks of gas and a few nights out eating and drinking? For some of us with a sushi habit we'd have to skip the gas ....
We are one of the tightest sports communities on the planet. Let's just chill and lets ride this ride. I could be wrong, but it seems like more people who have NOT dropped the deposit are more negative than most of us who actually have some skin in the game. I know mileage varies but still. These are my numbers not Nicks; Tomorrow the ski will be 30 days later than promised (based on a June delivery). Assuming a 7 day work week that's about 2.4 hours per ski late. It will be more than that in the end but you get what I'm saying. Lets just Braap what we brung for a little bit more.

Lack of information and misinformation is the biggest thing that hurts companies reputations in big roll-outs like this. As much as i hate twitter, that is the best platform for timely updates for not only the people who have deposits down but also those of us sitting on the sidelines with popcorn. I invented a product and took it to market so i know how easily timelines get off plan and issues crop up. The key is good communication and taking care of the customer regardless of your profit margin.

I ordered a Stage 2 50 cal kit in April of 2016, it was promised by mid June. It finally showed up the week after labor day, and that was only a stage 2 kit. If I were to do it again I would order no later than January if you want to ride it in the summer of the same year.

Yeah I get that, but don't promise the customer June just to make the sale then go back on it. Be upfront and say its going to be 5 months. That way if you deliver earlier than expected the customer is pleasantly surprised.

Just set REALISTIC deadlines and have great quality control. With that Krash will succeed because their skis ride great. I love how mine rides even with a small non PV engine.
Having been there and owning a Krash I feel I'm more than just a popcorn eater. I don't hate Krash, and I want these RTR skis to succeed. No saltiness of fearing change. All this talk about change and being good for the sport will only work if Krash meets customer expectations both in delivery and quality.
Trust me, I was there making excuses for the delays and shipping damage because I thought it was isolated to me and maybe a few others. "Oh they are a small company, oh they are overwhelmed, oh they had no control over the crate once it was with the freight company..." etc etc. But it was more than a few others who had my issues. Yes they are a small company trying to do big things. Good for them, just do it right and don't make the same mistakes again.

In an email from Chris yesterday (maybe some of you got it too), I was told what the full plan is from here on out. The hulls are already on the way to the US and the final "good" cranks are now at Krash AUS. The engines are being assembled and tested in Australia and then they are all being shipped air freight to NJ and will arrive before the hulls. Nick and a few others will be traveling to NJ to complete the machines. September 18 is the planned date to be finalized and shipped from NJ.
I'm ok with it, even if that only leaves me a few weeks to ride before the cold weather rolls into MN. Yeah, it's a bummer to be told July and then it ends up being two months later. But I don't blame them at all for taking all of these steps to make sure everything is done right and good the first time. I know I wouldn't want a bad name for my company and have to deal with tons of warranty issues just because of a deadline. Same thing with trying to finish building a show car just to make it to a certain show. In the end, 2 months isn't a very big deal in the big picture. The wait was longer when I bought my DJI Mavic last winter, and they took my money as soon as I placed the order!

From my understanding deposits are all that have been paid. Makes waiting a little easier IMO. I absolutely love my 50cal and could not see myself riding any other ski ( other than my Super Chickens )

I've been dragging my feet on making a deposit. I've talked to Chris a lot and he said that financing should be available in the next couple months. Also said if it's not available or I don't like the terms that I would get a full refund. He's answered every annoying question that I've asked and instill haven't put a deposit down everyone I've talked to say there always late with the product. My question is Is that the only problem. I honestly could care less if it's a couple months late as long as I get it. If anyone would be willing to inbox me that has dealed with krash and tell me the good or bad I would really appreacate it considering I'm prob gonna put a deposit in by the end of next week. Thank you
