Surfriding Krashing into a 50 Cal... Stage 2!

First off massive shout-out to @chrisgrace at Krash industries! My indecisive a$$ must have sent that poor dude 300 questions over the past 4 months, and he's been super helpful the whole time.

Now i know what your thinking this isn't going to be much of a build thread because stage duces already come assembled... Welll being on a 5 mile wide island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean I had to make some compromises. Chris is sending me essentially a 50 pound box of all the Krash bits and pieces from his HQ, and the 50 Cal hull is coming straight to my port from Thailand (there's a ladyboy joke in there somewhere)... lol. Anyway It sounds like an inconvenience, but with the discount he threw at me I had to say yes.

So I put my deposit in for the hull June 2nd and The ETA I got from the shipper is... well its today.. So I'll hopefully be picking the hull up from port this week! In the meantime heres some pretty pictures Chris send me from a while back.

Ok I know there isnt a whole lot of info and pics out there of these new Krashes so im going to go a bit indepth.

She Came in a steel cage, kinda bummed the shipping company left it out in the rain :/

Thanks to @///M5 for hauling to my place... and i thought it would have fit in the back of my jeep, lol.

On first inspection the padding looked.. well not great.

And then I thought they welded the cage around it lol... but nope one side was only screwed on. Ski came out no problem.

Turns out there was a metric poop ton of foam and bubble wrap around it, so no worrying about it getting damaged.

First glimpse of my Krash in all its glory. anddd I know what your thinking... well atleast i was lol.

Out of the box and just went from 6 to midnight... lol

Got a pic of their sweet hood release system. Man this thing is clean...

found a small knick, nothing serious tho. Looks like its just the sticker.

That extra chine of the surf hulls sticking out... ahhh cant wait to ride this thing...

Oh and this ride plate is #ucking massive!

Definitely going to be trimming that before it guillotines my shin lol.

But Daymnn this thing is wide. Definitely wider then my buddies SXR.

The lines are so sick on this hull... Plus It matches my Jeep!.

Little update, I decided to throw a few extra coats of clear ontop of the paint and vinyl. With the way i treat skis im definitely going to need it.

Yeah no problem, I dont mind taking a few more pics for people that are curious about them. It's gonna be a surf ski for the next year and a half, so shes not getting anything crazy yet. Ive got a 780 that @Nuklear6 is working his magic on for me, and Im throwing an RRP pipe at it. But I'll see how it goes from there.. Maybe the HPE stroker crank if think she needs more powaa.

I am hoping to get away with my 718 GroupK Sleeper with a Factory Bpipe and factory flywheel that was lightened. If that does not work I have another motor to send off and have built ( Big Bore 790 ) Maybe a couple more pics of engine compartment and down the bond rail. What was the pitch of the impeller they sent you?

Threw a crappy old tank in there for reference. Got a cart tank going in it for now.

All of the 148 Krash pumps come with a 11/17 prop annnd since i dont have a 1000cc DASA, I just ordered a 7/13 setback from Jetmanic.

Yea I guess I am going to have to get a new prop as well. Now I have something to look for over the next 2+ months. Seems like they would offer a choice of a couple of different pitches as there is going to be different budgets for engines.

Chris from Krash told me there was foam in the tray. I asked him the same question. Now will it sub or swim I did not ask. My guess is you better hope your gas tank is toward the empty side if you start to take on lots of water.
