Surfriding Krashing into a 50 Cal... Stage 2!

Looks like you have plenty of room to work in there. How and where did you mount Ebox?
Oh yeah plenty of room, should have no problem fitting the stock tank in there. I mounted it above the front foothold and wedged a piece of turf behind it. Makes a pretty solid mounting spot, and is tucked away. The engine definitely sits back further than the stock hull and is kind of a pain to install, probably would have been cake without the headpipe tho.

The ammount of room on the sides of the motor is super nice, Thats a roll of masking tape I threw in there for reference... (Must remind myself to remove that..)

I put my bilge under the midshaft, on the port side of the boat. Then ran it up that side and out. Primer I ran above my ebox, mine was mounted in the same spot as cam_lg. There's a photo of mine on one of the earlier pages. Worked like a charm.

Im running the primer, bilge's and bilge switch in the same spot Pat is running his bilge and pissers. On the little angled unturfed bits to the side of the hood hooks. Im probably going to just record a video and note everything with this hull.
Cool! What about your bilge and bypass fittings and your fuel primer and switches ?

Red Loctite. I have a friend that bought and XFS when they first came out. He was still in the tuning stages, Pump and Prop when the bed plate bolts came loose. Aways check and loctite.

Today is the day! Looking forward to hearing a report from you.

On a side note did you ever spray an extra layer of clear coat? If so did it help enough to justify the time it took? Did you use a rattle can or spray gun? Depending on what kind of quote my guy gives me I might just go with a clear wrap.

Shes on the water! and was christened with crappy conditions, a short ride in the surf, nothing but chop, a handle pole that was too long (which made recovery a b!tch) and I still dont have an intake grate but wow this thing carves and slashes waves soo well. The width makes it super stable and easy to ride. Took the chop and just ate it up way better than my SJ would have in these conditions. High speed runs were easy and very stable, the 7/13 prop is nicely suited for a ported 718 and I think the bottom end will pick up more with the intake grate. I need to figure out the front foothold tho, there's about an inch gap above my foot and its impossible to kick into. The rear adjustable ones need to get trimmed down as well. Probably going to convert them to kick in instead of ankle breaking slip in lol. If anyone has an idea of how to fix the footholds post it porfavor.

Add a layer or two of 25mm underpad to the top of the front hold and wrap with turf to snug it up. My predator holds are different but I took off most of what heel hook there was and also padded the top with a strip of underpad and wrapped with turf.

Thrust Innovation flush switch/primer mounts worked well.

Here is a pic of my motor. Just need to secure the tank and it's off to the races.
