P16 is all mine suckaz,, however the chick on the phone tryed to give me P24. so I think they are doing that if you only want to have 1 small tent and dont need a bunch of room

P24 is awesome. We had it a few times last summer. I am bringing my camper this time so I shifted to the left one site. All of the p sites on the water are nice, and they are all walking distance to each other.
i didnt know until later last night, but i had a 16' camper offered to us. i may change my spot, but doubt it. generally if i borrow something like that it will break. hope to snag a truck bed tent before the ride and probably bring my small dome tent for gear, parts and clothes.

Hummm.... as many people who are booking sites, I am gonna go to the campground this sunday and ask what can/cant we do. Good thing about this site is its privately owned and no C.O.E. So the money goes right to their pocket, which goes along way.
Anyone have anything in particular they would like me to get clarity on?

2 tents, 2 vehicles, up to six people, and 2 pets per site. Key is to get big tents.... or a camper!

During the day, can more then 6 people be at a camp site? It says they allow visitors and we may have a few extra riders that come out during the day. or they may stay landlocked and keep their skis at our site. Would that be ok?

We have never had a issue with people coming in during the day, they even told us they don't really mind the number of people, but they do stick to the two vehicles per site rule. Skis should be safe along the sites that are waterfront as we have never had a issue. When you book, just tell them two vehicles and 6 people that way you are more than good.
P24 should fit a trailer long ways next to the road, worse case you spill into my site a little. Shouldn't be a issue.

I think any sort of competition will bring in insurance, and when talking with the flatwater throw down guys, it's big money. Ambulances and paramedics on sight and probably fire and rescue teams. I'm guessing it's not worth it.

Yeah, everything would have to be unofficial..... as insurance and other things would get out of hand. Hopefully I can turn this event into something bigger every year, this year I am just trying to bring a ride back to Georgia. In the future, if we are welcomed back, the sky is the limit.

They had a race a few years ago at lake Acworth with is connected to lake Allatoona. A race there again would be sweet! I dont think DNR would ever allow a race on Allatoona lake.
Years back there was a race at our normal ride spot by the ramp. So the correct approach could make it happen. Acworth is also a possibility ? Mike Young used to promote this race. If you really want one? All we need to do is come up with a verified and legitimate sponsor list, and I know Mike would love to come back. The issue is, it costs $$$$$$ to bring these races to light. Entry fees barely scratch the surface. Contact me privately and I'll let you know what $$$ amount it will take.

Talked to Paul last night, he is confirmed for the ride. Not gonna camp, but he is gonna come hang out until 8 or 9 each night. He can't talk the wife into camping! We just need to get a lot of captain into him and then negotiate his stay!
