Absolutly!!
That, plus keeping the pole on the hood, pulling your legs up as hard as you can, staying in the center of the boat, and as much steering throw as you can possibly get.

Yeah but geek paid his dues with a 701 for along time.

Check out any of Michael RAtti's vids or clips. He has a team scream modded 701/boat. Goes big, no handers on flat, double troubles

Jeff Marsh, 701 and i dunno if he even has porting; doing double troubles, no hander rolls on boat and surf

and I too will be BRing soon enough on a 701 stock bore

I say figure whats up with your current engine and keep ripping

Power and Agility
Lamey cylinders are awesome for what you get, downside is the price obviously.

Having ridden both types of boats(lamey vs ported 61x cylinder), it really comes down to your budget. If you are just a rec rider who wants a bit more power for freestyle, then a freestyle port is really all you need. Those who are advanced and desire more power should get a lamey cylinder.

Once your skills progress, we all want more power period. It makes doing tricks easier once you have mastered them at a certain power level, and challenges you to go even bigger(hence the double barrel roll challenge).

i'm in the market of some more power, since i desided to hold off on the paint.

I dont know much about lameys but herd they were the best of the best... if you have the $$,$$$.

i'm more than likely going to get my 701 cylenders bored..
whats the max cc's you can safely get out of a 701 cylender?

and how does the power feel, compared to a lamey?

looing for teh best bang for the buck...
and if someone could give me a ballpark $$$ of a bigbore?

O i have to add my 2 cents......
Its all about the rider and training, I can not do a flat water barrel roll but tried 10 times at the last race meet to do back flips go figure, my ski can do it easy i know this , i just can not roll on the flat water, give me a 1/2 foot wave and i am there all day , no hander blah blah...............

If you ride in the surf do not waste your time just B pipe , prop, and all the straps and reenforcing.

Flatwater is in my opion a different thing and i bow to the guys :hail: who can roll on flat water, i just can not get it, a friend can do it on his stock with pipe and i land on my head, put me in front of a wave and i overrote and nearly do doubles.................

My advice after all the crap above ride for another year, port your cyclinders , then start to upgrade, i think we all have done our time on under powered bad handling boats......except for lee stone.. he he sorry could not help it
:tomato:
o and i am bored at work

I was not trying to take takeover, I was just trying get people to give different idea's of what one could do...
sorry,
Just trying to help.

Keep in mind that POWER is great for POWER moves like water to water BR. But the vast majority of tricks don't involve that much power, just responsiveness and positioning the ski where you want it. I'll take response over power anyday. You don't need power to do BR's, as I said water to water yes, but you can do anything off a wake once you learn where to hit the wave and how to roll the ski. If you nose stab enough and get comfortable with the ski inverted I guarentee a roll will soon follow.

I can or I can't...............its all in your head!!!! From my experience I munch on stuff for a while until I just get sick of thinking, then I decide to go for broke; then I usually beat myself up for about an hour on how much time I wasted thinging about it and not trying it. I spend almost all my time on the water battling my brain not the boat. Just something to think about. I am the my own biggest obsticle.

That's about the best piece of advice/post I've read on this forum!
