What's better or loosely said "makes more HP.

Hi compression freestyle engines need higher Octain.
Soo...
Run 110 Lead at a 50/50 mix with 93 Octain premium .
Or
102 non lead
Our local gas station has both.
Thanks

Which will allow more HP to be made and be the most stable under high compression & pressure without pre ignition..... My .02

1) Straight 110 leaded unmixed
2) 110 mixed 50/50 with 93 (because it has some lead)
3) unleaded 102 (last, because it has no lead)

I only have one option local(still 45 minute drive)

100 octane Un-leaded

I run 100% race on the foot rocket(210psi) n a 40/60 on my X2(190psi)

All good insight , thanks.
Does the 110 lead or 102 non lead .
Have a weight difference or
"Oxygen "

You'd have to check with the blender or the makers web site and look at the blend. If it's oxygenated they will list it and it's benefits

I run ERC 110 leaded but also mix it with premium depending on my timing curve and riding type for the occasion. Compression set at 215 but blowing 200 now, max timing between 28 and 34

The Aviation fuel has the light molecule base and race is a heavy molecule base. Weight of fuel is a concern in aviation

It is not so much about "making more hp" as it is not detonating when you have higher compression. So if you are running less then 190 compression you would be better off running straight 93 octane.

? So what if I were running only 170 psi and 38 degrees of advance with a dry pipe? Compression isn't only component, that mindset might get you some new pistons. Quality of pump gas can also tend to be questionable.

My compression tester says 225 in each hole but im not buyin it so I just run 110 leaded for peace of mind. Do I need it? Probably not i could probably get by with 93 but it smells good and puts my brain at ease and for as little as I go through I dont mind paying 7.19 a gallon for that peace of mind

Good point, I was assuming stock timing.

The lead in the fuel slows the burn rate of the fuel. This is why in high compression application it is needed to prevent detonation that will lead to engine failure. Higher octane fuel does not = more HP it does resist detonation due to the lead or other addatives.
