It is definitely not, slap in a stroker crank and re-cut dome head and go.

I'm not interested in running a stroker crank with these cylinders. If I have the extra money to spend in a few years and step up to some aftermarket cylinders (True Performance?) then I would probably consider it. For now Im just looking for smooth power and low maintenance.

Exactly my point, it costs more than a stroker crank and head to run a stroker motor. I think you have a solid plan.

Got some front footholds, thanks Rad Dudes! Sending out my cylinders and cases tomorrow to Chuck at CPT, they will be coming back with a new crank, ADA head, and a set of 85mm Wisecos.

Still no major progress, but hopefully I'll have more time to get working on this again by May. I know once I see some skis on the water its going to get me rockin'. The good news is I've been working with some carbon lay-ups as part of my senior project (FSAE) so I should be more confident with it by the time I get working on the hull again. Here are some pics of what we have been working on at school (just to prove I haven't been sitting on my ass).

We had the opportunity of working with a local shop to create a carbon fiber steering wheel via vacuum bagging pre-preg. This was my first time being introduced to both of these processes, pretty cool stuff!

Here's Abbott laying down some pre-preg.

Ready to start curing.

We then gathered some materials (5.6oz carbon cloth and a few gallons of a flexible high temp epoxy resin system) and began laying up the body on our own. We initially planned to resin infuse, then decided to just wet lay and bag, and now we are just going with a wet layup since our deadline is only a few weeks away. This will at least leave room for improvement for next years team.

Pretty happy with the results for a first try, definitely learned a lot! Next step is to finish trimming and then get working on the other 5 molds we have.

Got some more practice at laying some carbon today. Abbott and I managed to get the first layer in this mold down with one full piece without messing up the weave too bad. Haven't been too worried about making the inner layers look perfect since they won't be seen.

Also mailed out my cylinders/cases and ordered a pump setup from JetManiac.

Ordered some more stuff today. Thrust Trim, B-Pipe, X-Scream Hood Latch/Receptacle and a Cold Fusion Billet Flywheel Cover. 4 more weeks of school and then I can really get working on this thing!
