The shorter hull doesn't appear to have made Lenzi go higher or anything. I don't see a benefit to him.

I would have to agree on that! I've seen him look better on stock lenght hulls.

What about Wattanabe on a shorten stock lenght hull doing 5 backflips and super huge rolls!!... I don't think the shorter hulls is the answer

I think that some tricks get easier with a shortened hull, but it's not a magic wand that makes you a star. Hard work, practice and raw talent get you to that level.

I'm talking about a mega-short hull like he's running. He doesn't look like he's going higher or smoother than he did with a 'normal short' hull.

Im sure if we saw Lenzi practicing not competing he would be getting alot higher. Ive seen him go huge one day practicing and on comp day he only gets half the height. Cant tell you why that is but it seems that way to me.

it does seem he chokes in the tough comps. where Malone always thrived... You would see sneak vids of them both and see Lenzi going huge and Malone not showing his hand... Almost like Malone just watched him to gauge how hard he needed to ride... He really out played Lenzi in every way even though I consider Lenzi just as good of a rider, just not a great competitor.

Just putting the mount to the bumper on a 7'+ ski is not going to help. Shortening the nose toward the mount will be a greater benefit. Think of doing a backflip like spinning around in an office chair. Centralised mass allows easier rotation. Take a spin with your arms and legs held in, then stretch your arms out. Moving the weight farther from the center of rotation makes it more difficult to spin. Now where's my labcoat?
