Those noses are sick!

I assume he will make full carbon upon request, right?

I am not even going through this if a I can't get a very tough hull/hood/handle pole/foam/holds under 100lbs. Like a lot under if possible.

I am sure. He has since eliminated the 2 shell hull design and is going with a stronger one peice design like the envy. He mentioned even mellowing out the curve on the tray area. I am starting to deal in WDK parts and am in the process of getting my site up and running. . . . I plan on offering a couple X-jet topdecks and hoods for the do it yourselfers out there.

Cool man! Good luck.

I guess the bottom line is I need to call him and tell him I want a mostly carbon REV or X. I like the X better actually.

seems to me it would depend on the technique, layering and reinforcement..youre statement is just to broad

composition on SJ hulls has varied over the years..that is common knowledge

I know one thing.....I have ZERO interest in an 05+ OEM hull....I have personally seen 3-4 of them crack with no harder use than riding thru a choppy bay..?

People around here worry too much about politics and arguing over silly details....Pick a ski, ride it and love it. You do a 10ft nosestab into 3 feet of water, guess what..they're ALL going to break

To my knowledge there are only two ways to make something out of chop, by hand or with a gun.:smoker: (Probably wrong though, I'd take an WDK hull if their customer service was better. they could have the best hulls out and I still wouldn't buy one from them if I had the money)

So... if you are a manufacturer, or own one of these hulls, please leave us some feedback on the product. I'm sure there are many of us that would love to read a quick review on the likes and dislikes from people that actually ride them.

With that being said, here is what i have found:

As stated in the other thread, I am very happy with my 08 style 24-7 hull. My hull is carbon, Kevlar and fiberglass. The ski is built very well and light. The total weight of the hull, hood, handle pole, turf, and motor mounts was 106lbs. I am still getting used to the handling of the light weight and the 08 style but it is defiantly fun to ride.

Pros:
Newest super jet hull design.
Solid construction
Light weight
Warranty
Price

Cons:
Mark can be difficult to contact some times
Customer service seems to vary (Based on others experiences)

Is 106 light? I was thinking 85 for hood/pole/hull/footholds and foam, no?

What is stock with hull/pole/hood/new foam/holds?

It was alot lighter than my old ski. My old ski was a stock re-enforced hull, 24-7 hood and x-metal pole and that was about 160lbs. Bare hull before paint was 125 if I remember correctly. Also, I ride alot of surf. Flatwater guys may like the hulls lighter. I told mark to make it beefy to take a beating in the surf.

sweet!

Ill send you a PM within the next few days about some tips you are going to want to know..

you are gonig to need to make a couple of special tools (very easy), and all your hardware is going to be SAE course thread..get it at ACE

make sure to keep in mind the first time you ride it:

it does not handle like a superjet!

I know Jeff already told you this lol...he must have said it to me 50x

Thanks Doc! I have no idea when I will get it so I'm not making any tools or selling any skis until it is in my driveway.

I am stoked though but I'm guessing it will be a winter project at best.

making tools will consist of nothing more than chopping down a couple of SAE allens and making them into sockets..but you will want the length custom..

you will love it!
