why not.. all they do is just force more air back into the engine, just need more fuel to compensate...no?

there were actually aftermarket bolt-on ski superchargers back in the 550/650 hey day if i remember correctly..

They also blew out crank seasl if im not mistaken....but im just a kid from AL

You can turbo charge/supercharge them I'm sure...but not quite asworth it

4 strokes have the ability to completely seal off the cyclinder and let mass amount of air to be forced and kept in creating boost. With a 2 strokes intake and exhaust ports being open around the same time in cases it doesnt have a change to build up worthy boost.

I guess the only good thing that can come of it is fresher air.....just not worth it i think for allt he time and moneya nd BS

But back to the lightwieght hull discussion. Wax have you discussed this with CG? He sent me an awesome breakdown including costs of XFT's wide variety of hull offerings. It was very impressive. I agree they are expensive, but everything I am doing now is geared towards getting one. I will buy a hood and nose piece that will work on it 1st and run it a while and when the day comes that I have my pennies in order I will be pimping one. I will not put any more $$$ towards HP until I 1st obtain a lighter hull.

uh... can you super/turbocharge a 2 stoke??

They already are.
That's why compression ratio is so much lower to run the same fuel as a 4-stroke.

The return wave from the pipe can add A LOT more pressure in the cylinder than what you read on your compression gauge when you're turning it over.
What happens in a two stroke (basically) is you send a bunch of fuel/air right on through the cylinder, out into the exhaust, then the transfer ports close (containing the air/fuel in the cylinder), and the sonic wave (from the exhaust cylcle just before) forces the rest of the fresh air/fuel back into the cylinder (which is already full of fresh air/fuel) - thereby 'supercharging' the cylinder.

HMMMM, here it is only $5000.00 usd w/ hood and nose piece and pole bracket and a few other little items, unless you want the 59# hull, but I didnt even look at that. The one that is like 72# is good for me, near half the wiehgt of OEM and then hood and handle pole near half the wieht too (SEWEEEEEET). I just wieghed an OEM hull, hood, nose piece and handlepole bracket but with a little hardware it was 140#. The $5000.00 XFT set up was 85# a 55# savings.
