Custom/Hybrid List of hull builders that stand by there products

Not trying to bash anybody here, but thrashing a ski like we do and then expecting mounts/inserts or hulls not to break and expecting 100% warranty when it does?
We had a motorcycle shop for 20 years, buy a MX bike and race it for a year and the frame will stretch or break. No racer expects a free frame ever, sorry but I just feel if I broke it, I will fix it or get another.
If it's junk its junk, but all you guys can break anything!

No one was talking about that being covered. Structural defects in the builders layup should be

When I was racing Harescrambles I got a good offer to ride a GasGas dirtbikes for a shop. I took their offer and during that year I cracked the frame. GasGas dirtbikes came with a 1 year warranty at the time (2006) and I was told I'd get another frame. During the time I was waiting I continued to ride it and had a buddy tig weld the crack just for safety. A couple months later I was riding and the footpeg fell off. I got off my bike and looked down and noticed the footpeg didn't actually break or fall off it was actually the tabs on the frame that snapped off! GasGas never followed up with their warranty so what good was it to be the only dirtbikes that have a 1 year warranty? The warranty made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside when I was buying it but I ended up getting screwed. In 2008 I had an offer to ride for my local KTM shop and I couldn't pass it up. I raced that bike for a year and that bike was a very well built bike!!! I never even had my suspension revalved from stock even though I had Factory Connection as a sponsor. When I raced a Honda CR250 I had the suspension revalved 4 times and still wasn't 100% satisfied. So at the end of the day the Honda was a nice bike but designed for motocross, the GasGas warrany was totally useless, and the KTM although very expensive was a purpose built bike and all their R&D and offroad racing background really payed of in my eyes and you can't put a price on that.

Buy quality hulls with proven designs, don't buy cheap hulls or good "waranties"

Wow....speechless on the mounts breaking that much and anyone thinking that is normal...for any rider on here. It is not!!! Wamiltons, hell...even OEM, mounts hold up to massive amounts of abuse! Pancaking and failed rolls should not break a mount (unless it is very old!!)!! Anyone that has not compared great mounts to crap mounts needs to! You will then know crap and you won't go back.

People are still breaking mounts, even good ones. They just dont cry about it anymore.

Personally I would steer more towards a company that doesn't need to send out replacement parts/hulls in the first place.

I rarely ever consider warranty into any purchase decision. If there is ever a strong possibility that I will require the warranty on an item before it has served it's purpose, then I am not looking at the right company and will continue shopping around.

My Chevy came with a warranty. The slip yoke has been repaired 3 times and replaced twice under warranty.

The 1st time I was sitting in the lobby waiting on my truck to be fixed did I think "Man, I'm so glad I have a warranty". The remaining 4 times I was thinking, "What a piece of :):):):) truck, Next time I'm buying Toyota." Same thing I was thinking when I was sitting there waiting to have my stereo replaced and my dash replaced.

I know it's not a jet ski hull, but it taught me a valuable lesson about what a warranty is worth. Oh, and since I'm on a rant about the value of a warranty, the people at best buy can burn in hell too.

If you have a handle on what mounts are good, I'm all ears! Ive tried oem, ive tried monkey grips, ive tried rhaas, and am planning to try the 701's.

Bingo. I've broken OEM mounts, XFT/Wammer/MonkeyGrip mounts, and Cold Fusion mounts.

Just kidding. I must ride like a sissy never sank a ski or broken a motor mount!

The Ski Clinic has taken excellent care of me and my son on our hulls. Mine hasn't had any issues, but my sons has and they dialed him right in. He's taking it to them this winter for some new micro foothold pods and some more hull work. But I will say he beats the living crap out of it. MANY 3/4 rolls and it's taking its toll, but is still fine now, just gell coat cracks. He just wants more reinforcement for added insurance.

I've only broken OEM and Monkey Grip motor mounts, exactly where Matt_E broke his.

When I had my -5 carbon Superfreak, Tem took great care of me and all my questions as well and is a super cool stand up guy. TheBuzzard has it now and it gets its azz kicked avery time it's on the water and as far as I know it's doing great. But I have no doubt Tem would take care of any issues that may arise.

Ford dealerships suck ballsack in the warranty dept.

i sold that thing jay.:frown: the knucklehead that now owns it, drag races every boat he sees. its only a matter of time before it grenades. he hacked those adjustable footholds up and he said tem was sending him new and better ones for free. i took it for a spin on saturday and instantly missed it and the power.........

Bummer dude.. Sorry to hear that. Sad to see it go to a guy that doesn't ride it the way it was made to be ridden. I guess as long as the new owner is smiling, that's all that counts. But you ripped that thing! Loved watching you ride it. What's your main ride now?

Going on 5 years on my Trinity Glass EVO. I beat the crap out of this thing...tons of bad landings..overextended pole, ride up on rocks, shells, cement, hit logs, landed upside down........you name it.

FOAM IS STILL DRY!

NO stress cracks, nothing...not even gel coat cracks. This hull has NO FLEX...It hits with a thud. The hull and hood are still absolutely perfect. I have not put a drop of glass on this thing. Yes, I got it a week late, but who cares when it has 5 years of flawless performance. Every part bolted up PERFECTLY. Bobby (Trinity) has even given me full directions on how to fix the bottom that I have ground down from being too lazy to get a beach stand or refusing to tie it to the docks and riding it up on the cement.

My only complaint is I wish I would have gotten the shorter -4 version and paid the extra money for the Pro All Carbon version.
