looking for opinions of rickter and xscream hulls

Test ride them both first. That may answer a few questions. For what your spending, arranging a test ride should be mandatory. I personally can't ride the xfs anywhere near as well as the KDX. I'm not biased towards anyone, but after riding almost all of them, I bought a KDX. Looking to build a DVX soon. Wanna good deal on a built KDX :)?

I agree with Philip.....Find somebody that will let you ride their ski and go ride them. I flew to FL just to ride my Superfreak before ordering one. I had ridden several A/M hulls that I had absolutely hated. When I rode the freak I knew it was the right fit for me. For the amount of time and money you are spending building a ski, make sure you are building the right one.

I agree with Philip as well that I don't feel comfortable riding the XFS and I have been riding for over 20 years.

If you don't have any locals to bum a ride, fly/drive to a freeride event. The cost of the flight/drive should be included in the purchase decision. The only reason we went to Daytona last year was to test all the hulls before buying one. You're getting ready to plunk down $6000-$9000. A few hundred dollars is a pittance in comparison, to make sure you get the hull YOU want.

I'm in Missouri around the lake of the ozarks. I can ride all summer with out seeing another stand up ski besides my buddy. let alone see someone on a freestyle ski I can beg to let me try out

I keep a boat at the moorings Yatch Club on the Grand Glaze Arm... Hit me up sometime to chase boats

You see 6' to 8' wakes everyday ? Then I'm not sure you need a one trick pony flatwater hull for huge wake. Just sayin...maybe you need more of a dual purpose fun hull ? Nice pics sneds....High up in hull anodized cooling lines, heaven !

What hull did you end up getting wrench8840? I don't think I missed it in the thread but I could be wrong. I am trying to decide what hull I want to invest to much money into as well
.

i still havent purchased a free ride hull yet. in the process of building a monster 1100sxr. my thoughts right now are. rickter for surf and xscream for flat water. that being said im leaning towards the xscream. im hoping to ride both of them back to back and compare them.
