Mag Pumps Are Heavy

the 140mm mag pump is the ********z!! (Thank's Miles!) I'm running a 16/21 prop with a 87mm bored nozzle and it rips hard (of course with the help of a 6mm lamey)
love it!

Mine (140) hit great w/ the 16/21 as well ( with stock nosel ) all I can hope is that the 144 does the same w/ about 6 less #'s.

Toby has the TBM in his 5mil 82.5mm domed, 225 comp. ADA set up w/ 13/16 c/b solas and it hooks niceley. He still could use more hook up w/ his HP IMO so he will be trying my new 144 c75 13/18 to see if it helps and how close it is to the mag at that point. I personaly feel there is no equal avail to a mag (even a 140 mag) so the lighter 144 should be the shiot.
I have also ridden a ported 701cc w/ r&D dry pipe and stock 38mm carbs that had a TBM w/ a solas "J" prop that hooked up awesome, so the myth of huge HP needed for the TBM cone is just a mythe IMO.
You talking about the Cat's ski, if so, that is a Speedwerx Pipe.

I am going to try to fit a TBM in my PJS 650 X2 pump and run a big hub impeller. (Thanks Legdrag) Right now I have a stock SXR impeller I got for free and though I would start there after I have it set back 270mm. Does anyone know what the pitch is on the SXR Stock?

Any guesses on where I should be on pitch if the TBM works out for me? It is 140mm since it is a Kawi of course. I am running 840cc, pump gas, FPP Mod chamber Wet pipe, V Force 2's and dual 44's.

Do you think the SXR impeller will be a good choice or should I get a Mag impeller? It is a big hub, stainless swirl as most of you know.

I just don't want to become a Mag prop collector.

Oh yeah that is pretty long. My metric conversion isn't very quick. Something like 6.35mm is a quarter of an inch. That was a number in my head from a conversation with Skat Trak. They said it was around 1/4" difference from the 750/800 pump. I will be checking it right in my special set back pump. I have it bored back past the wear ring to get my current impeller way back in there.
