Should be interesting to see. Keep in mind if your jetting is spot on, the egt's will be around 1200 degrees six inches away from your piston crown. Idk if the there is enough water to cool it down to 220 before it gets to the chamber.

I may offer some for sale if I can successfully make this one work but it'll be a little while before I can even test this. It could be a total crap shoot and fall apart the first ride but I figured there are plenty of people that want limited chambers that it's worth a shot. We'll see...

for sure man. good luck with the testing. im intrested to see how it works out

LoL. No it doesnt.

It's called thermal diffusivity...and yes it does. Do the calculations if you'd like. In addition, the carbon chambers have about half the weight of a normal chamber so it takes less cooling water to bring the temperature back down.

To help make my point I did a crude test. I put the aluminum chamber in the oven at 180° for 10 minutes. I pulled it out and set it aside inside my house testing it at 2, 5, and 7 minutes. I wasn't until 7 minutes that I was able to hold my hand on the chamber without it hurting. I did the exact same thing with the carbon chamber and I could pick it up after only 2 minutes.

I would think that the composite is an insulator. It will keep the heat inside instead of conducting it. The aluminum will conduct the heat out. I'm not an engineer or physicist though.

Heres one for ya, who cares just go out there and ride the boat...Iv made them and tested them and u cant feel the diff. Fact 1 is yes if made properly it is lighter...will u know the diff..no. Fact 2 does the pipe stay cooler inside the hull..as far as heat back into the intake..steam as well..Yes, will u feel a power diff from that..no. As far as sonic waves vs alum and carbon, who cares. They both WORK and have been tested and the results come back the same. No one feels the diff. I prefer the carbon because they look cool and if i had a choice between the 2 that is the one id pic..They do take heat better and will not crack, i make them as seen on pg #2 and have a mold. There is no need for water at the stinger and u will pick up power u will feel buy getting rid of it. But im using res that will exceed 340deg. Make sure u vacume bag these because the extra resin is not wat u want..u want this chamber to heat equal and have a tight pack.
Thats my testing, with my o2.

Thanks for the insight on this. Very helpful.

My lightweight carbon chambers will sizzle water just like a metal one. They can be made very light if you are careful to make them round, no flat spots. All the advantages of composites are lost when the fiber is not in tension. The gas tank should be modified to clear a round stinger.
