I wanted a candy metallic orange paint job also, but the problem was keeping to a industrial paint that is durable. Also candy paint is a tri-stage paint in order to get the effect. Otherwise the bright colors like to drown out the metallics. I decided a tri-stage wouldn't be good on a jet ski that gets ridden (difficult to touch up).
The original metallic orange I picked out was more like a copper and it looked great inside my garage under white light, but as soon as I brought it outside it was tons darker, almost brown. I went back and got this color, which is a solid, it's a single stage so it's easier to wet sand without worrying about moving the metallic. I had tons of runs..
