This project along with others has been creeping along. Chasingdaylite and I finally had a weekend where we could get this done.

Materials were cut and ready, we finished the last of the mold prep sunday and monday began the long process of mold prep, primer, layup, and finally bagging.

I wont go into all the gory details but suffice it to say without the previous help of Xscream, this would have taken me a lot longer to pull off.

The mold was made from Chasingdaylites hull, we fitted my tubbies and installed a 144 pump. The top deck has a shaved fuel fill, wide tray and slightly modded gunwhales. that is next, there is still sanding and polishing and patterns to be made. But it will be coming along soon, not as fast as we would like but its working.

just the bottom shell (without mounts or inserts) came out 18.5lbs. we weighed it like 10 times due to the stupid bathroom scale. most were 18.5 had a low of 16 and high of 20 but overall 18.5 was the majority.

here are a few pics. there are some flaws from a mistake I made in bagging, that will be corrected moving forward and wont be an issue on this hull.

Now you come out with this....

But freaking sweet dude. You know these will sell like hotcakes.

I may be interested in this. Price? Will it be kit or completed hull?

Glad to hear your getting the ball rolling on this! I have a fixed steer hood from Tom and the work is top notch i would buy his products again!

18.5 seems low. If the topdeck weighed that much you would be looking at around a 55 lb hull. Did you do any work with the hood? Custom hood?

55lbs is not so surprising... I bet that is a high estimate.

Congrats Tom, this will be a fun hull for sure.

That is just the deck. There is more to a complete hull than bare top and bottom. Add rigging and bonding, inserts, glue, piping, etc and you will add another 10 lbs or more.

Ya so even on the high side 20 lb top deck plus a 20 lb bottom deck plus the extra.garbage I bet it is within 5 lbs of 55

This is a cool project. Post some more pics! Is this a personal project or are you making them to sell? If you are making to sell, can you answer the following?

1. Does it use a Superjet Driveshaft?
2. Does it use a Superjet pump tunnel?
3. What is the tray width?

Good stuff. I would be really interested to see how this same setup would perform with a little bit of rocker and some wider rails. Lookin good!
