Sandman are you close to me? I just bought a tool to scan all obdII vehicles. I had to use it to fix my truck. If you are I can look at it and see what your tranny is doing.

seriously - if u wish I will consider getting a 6X15/20 FT high wall trailer and bring NOT milled wood - but oak, cedar, mesquite, pecan, and ash.. someone can bring the starter milled wood. I can be somewhat of a fire police in the way of not burning all in one night.. I would hate not to have anything left for saturday night! All this is if I decide my trans is ok in my diesel!

firewood doesn't burn near as fast as pallets and such. Bring it!

If you want to make a trip down there before just to bring the trailer of wood, let me know and I'll make arrangements to get it stored someplace secure until the ride.

That fire and the flames are soo cool looking that my first impression, had I never met you pyros, would be that it was fake. What's the majic ingredient? Fence? :nana:

Actually that was two 16' trailer full of pallets we took down there.
It was so big at one time the people in the house we made it infront of were worried and actually sent someone out to ask us to "make it smaller". I dont think we ever did.

Actually, I think that fire was derived from pine slats used in strapping lumber bundles.

Being that i've never been to one of ya'll rides do you have any need to know info? I see i'm supposed to have tow loops.. I prob should have wetsuits too right being that it'll be march? We all just meet someplace to party and ride then go seperate ways till the next day? Most people going down friday or saturday? Anyways just some things I was wondering that would help in my planning, thanks for the info:reporter:

Many arrive Fri, some Sat, some Sun. Lots camp on the beach or rent houses nearby, some have friends who have beach houses, some stay at motels. Very relaxed group. We usually feed ourselves for most meals, but do a semi-organized get-together Sat pm and sometimes Sat lunch.

We (mostly) respect each other, try not tick off the local home-owners too much. No glass on the beach. PICK UP YOUR OWN TRASH! Have fun, try real hard not to run over anybody on the water or the beach. Mostly a very friendly, easy-going, help anybody that needs it kind of group.

The only real hard and fast rule is "Don't do anything that makes me stop riding to take you to the hospital."

Sure, we could arrange that. We actually live in N. Richland Hills, so it should be fairly easy. We will likely drive down Thu night or possibly Fri morning.
