The scupper tube will be set up for a versaplug max. The opening on the versaplug is the same diameter as the tubing connected to bulkhead. There will be a section of 2 inch pvc just long enough to fit the versaplug into. This will save a little weight.

Let's be honest. It's 95% a rec ski. And it's already a heavy monster. And it wasn't any harder than putting 2 inch pvc all the way through it.

Yeah I understand it's a SJ and is very heavily reinforced. Weight does become counter productive after a certain point depending on hull design, drivetrain, surf conditions and size. Either way you'll be fine. That -4 straight cut and tubbies will be great

Sanded and ready for paint. Not aiming for perfection here. Perfection would have required a few more applications of filler and more sanding. The rest of the ski isn't perfect so good is good enough. It all looks good from 10 ft away and ok close up.

You can see a few holes and runs but I'm happy with the results. You can see that it looks good from a distance in the last pic. The colored epoxy worked out ok for the blue on the rear sides. A big sticker won't hurt either. 33 hours now.

Exhaust and scupper tube and every other tube installed today with lots of 5200. Turned the ski on it's side to get ready for a little foam shaping and glass on the gunwhales next. 35 hours and finally starting to feel like I'm making good progress.

37 hours. Sorry if my tally is annoying. I am doing it for myself so I can refer back next time I get a wild hair and fall prey to sportfish's "what you orta do" again. Shaped the foam and prepped all the surfaces for glass. Cut a little more on the tray too. It's amazing how much time it takes to properly prep for glassing. Dusty, loud, itchy, sucky work.

I'm kinda confused on why you cut the tray/gunwales the way you did. Was it for an easier de foam? Or are you planning some funky front foothold?
