just wondering cause iam doing one and wondering if i should move mine forward seems that it will ride nose high in the holds in the standard position
If you add a kick stand / wedge at the end of the tray, it will help the nose and actually your balance, useful both in surf or flat water.
Clinically proven!

Had to repair a crack that had movement on the hood lip near the nose that I found while prepping the engine bay for paint. Solid now. Tray is all done. Microballoons over all open areas and edges of fiberglass plates. A layer of biax over all open areas and some extra pieces on foot areas and then one big piece to finish it off.

Its def gonna b stout, but for sure less than the saturated tank she was before u tore into her. She not really a flipper but I bet she's gonna slash the hell out of some wave faces and lips. Kinda stoked to get this thing down to Hugo.

Good job hombre!

52 hours. Glued and shaped pad on sides and turfed them. Figured out how to make it all work with just the pad and turf I had. Tetris master.

Great way to use all the small pieces of padding that seem to accumulate over time. Turf master you are........nice work!

62 hours. Nauseated this morning and couldn't sleep last night. I think I poisoned myself with contact cement fumes. 20140518_221510.jpg20140518_221526.jpg 20140518_221545.jpg 20140518_221639.jpg 20140518_221601.jpg

Lol nice! Glass it in and see how it works. Just make sure you bring a sawzall to the beach...

Seriously though, looking really good. That doesn't look like an easy turf job.

I stopped by Saturday to see the progress on this build, and it looked even better in person! Lots of room in the tray and the turf job looked awesome! Mark Gomez will be jealous!!!! Great work McDog!!!!

I put my last mcdog customs decal on it. I figured I made enough changes to warrant it. I rides great and the engine feels surprisingly good in a heavy hull with a oem ignition. I really like the front foothold room. I can stand there with both feet to cruise around comfortably.
