I put in a new OEM starter today and my voltage drop issue disappeared.
I won't get to ride until Thanksgiving.

matt i think you are gonna regret shortening it whenever you ride surf...

I just saw this and figured I'd comment after having a few surf rides on the short hull now. I don't regret having shortened it. It is squirrely, but predictable if you have some ride time on it.
I like it.

Now running a 140 Mag pump, too. Very nice.

I think I have maybe another season on this hull.
The bulkhead has separated from the bottom deck at the very bottom.
There is a substantial crack across the bottom a few inches in front of the bulkhead.
The bond line is cracking on one side.
There are several cracks on the top deck coming from the hood seal area.
I've been riding this hull pretty hard for five years now.

what would you do to fix it, just reinforce the problem areas with cloth and resin?

I am done working on this hull. It will not be fixed.
I learned all my (crappy) glass working this hull. I don't want to dump any more money and time into it, because I could do better if I started over.

what hull are you going to?

are you going to sell that one?

I doubt anyone would want to buy that hull when I'm done with it.

What am I going to?
I am saving for a house, so an aftermarket hull - as much as I'd like one - is out of the question.
Probably just another RN. Maybe even a SN if fancy strikes me just right.

Meh. It's been a tough five years on the hull since I've owned it.
Countless incomplete rolls, learned surf riding on it, backflips and some pancakes.
I am pretty happy with how it's held up for that long.
Besides, it's not dead yet. But age is showing through.

Another little update. I finally sank the ski for the first time since this build. It happened at the Oregon coast in small surf. I bailed on a roll and the ski came down on the side of the hood from about 10ft up. The hood moved sideways about an inch.
By the time I rolled the ski over, it was already going down.
Tense moment, as I had no idea whether it'd float or not. This boat is pretty heavy.
But it floated just fine, with a couple inches sticking up above the water. Not ideal, but not a lost cause, either.
Towed her to shore and got her revived.
