Blaster May have made a big mistake, help!!

Alright, I bought a 96 waveblaster 2 recently and have had it out 3 times, took it out again and it wouldn't start. So I preceded to fix it, came to the conclusion it wasn't getting fuel because it would start right up when I sprayed carb cleaner or gas down the carbs. Can't for the life of me figure out why it's not getting gas, bypassed the on/off, tore carbs apart and cleaned, all good there, so idk. While in the process of this I noticed that there are two outlets on the oil tank, yes I'm running oil injection or so I think, but the two outlets are looped together, is it supposed to be like that? I don't figure so. And I've been running it like that, shouldn't have taken the guys word for it I guess. But the cylinders are running 150/145psi, 760 btw. Any help? Thanks

The compression isn't bad. But if your spraying something down.the intake and it wont fire off. Make sure you have spark. And bypass that oil injection system. Good luck

Nvm. You said it would start. Check fuel filter/ clogged lines. Keep it simple. Most tomes the things that drive you nuts are stupid fixes

I'm gonna bypass the oil injection now, but I think it was blocked when I bought it and the previous posner told me it was not blocked and I ran it without checking, very stupid on my part I know. Where are the lines coming out of the oil tank supposed to be run tip use the oil injection?

How many outlets are on the oil tank in total? Not familiar with the wbii but the wbi has 3 I believe... 2 low ones and a higher one. One of the low is connected To the high by a short piece of hose intended to be the oil sight. The other low outlet runs to the mag/oil pump on the lower front of the motor, with smaller line(s) (depending on # carbs) running to the carb tops.

If you don't have this youll need to run premix.

Pics would help us.

I have oil block off plates here, for sure block off that oil!

Check the fuel filters on the ski, and also the ones in the carbs, and check the fuel pick ups..
clogged jets... dirty carbs.. lots of things can cause that...
Gas cap not on?

I'll try to get some pics tomorrow. It has one outlet down low and one up top, then where the pump goes in. it doesn't seem to connect to anything else, motor, carbs, nothing. sorry for the terrible explanations. And thanks for the help!!

Keep in mind, if you keep trying to start with Carb cleaner, you will wash the oil of the cylinder and pistons, and you will seize the motor

Well I can't seem to figure put how to upload a pic from my phone but the best I can explain it is there is an outlet at the bottom of the front of the tank and another on the very top of the tank next to where the pump sits. And the two outlets are looped together with one piece of tubing. Hope that helps?

glad someone else posted this. do not use starting fluid on a two stroke. use some mixed gas instead. it usually wont sieze but it will cause some serious scoring. check your spark and drain the tank, block off oil injection and fill with pre mix 40:1

I know to block off the oil injection, I just want to know how it's supposed to be joked up because I think out may have been blocked off and I didn't realize it and ran it that way. Does anybody know if how I tried to explain it above is how it's supposed to be our blocked off? Thanks

Ok so I just figured out that the oil injection was blocked off and I have run probably 10 gallons through it of straight gas, I'm officially an idiot... So any reason that the ski wouldn't start because of that? I've cleaned the carbs, bypassed the on/off, fuel filter, spark plugs, I'm just clueless?

I kinda feel like your not following how the oil injection is setup and maybe you're just looking at the lines for the level indicator on the side of the ski? You would think that motor would have seized by now if it was running with no oil in it. I have the complete oil injection system from my blaster 1 sitting in the back of my truck, I can post a picture of it if that would help you, but I'm not sure if there is a difference between the systems on the wb1 and wb2

edit - Here is a pic of the system off my wb1 just in case

if you have lost compression that would cause it to start when fluid is sprayed in the carb but not be able to draw it's own fuel right? but you said you still have 140-150 compression readings?

if the line from the bottom of the oil tank ran to the oil pump (on flywheel cover) and then two lines ran to the carbs, as long as oil was in the tank, it should be getting oil.

hard to know w/o a pic

it does seem unlikely that you could have run the engine that much w/o oil and not have lower compression readings

best sit down made btw

Is it pumping fuel to the carbs? Sounds like it might need the fuel pump rebuilt to me.
