If your reading this again, thank you!
I truly appreciate looking back at this thread to remember all that went into this. So much support and advice from everyone. I took quite a few years off on this but I have not lost hope that I will, at the very least, get my hands on an Wolfe/Axiro engine and prove the prototype works with the rotary. I still proudly display my 300 "Project Tiger" in my new shop, just waiting for me to find the time to do a little here, a little there to figure this all out.
I have been focusing on raising kids and far more important family things than dreams. We have all seen a wave of new innovation in the stand-up world and it is exciting to see Yamaha back in the game, sorta.
My kids are reaching the age I was when I got into the best sport on earth and I want to pass down this love to them. I almost bought a new SJ but I just couldn't buy something so easy. It's a good ski but as much as they tried, Yamaha didn't hit the mark with pure free riders IMO. We need a smaller, lighter OEM option like the Footrocket, but mass produced, maybe SMC or plastic like See doo has done, I wonder why nobody has tried something else that I think is being oddly overlooked. There is a very light, very strong material that is cheap and fast to fabricate. Never seen it used on a ski. Maybe that will Come into play.
Wherever this heads: Lord willing, if I am able to fund the startup company by some miracle to mass produce these, I will remember all the help, advice and amazing support received here.
Something to look forward to is that I have gotten quite a bit more media savvy. Don't expect me to post here frequently but I intend to add more media to give better at illustrating the project.
Till the next update, here are some things I never quite covered. Some facts I never shared and a couple observations:
*First, I don't think the X had emojis back in the day.
Or at least I didn't use them then. Also, when I say "The X", I am not talking about twitter
*I did have to sign an NDA with two separate companies if I remember(1 for certain). Mostly, I just couldn't share design details other than company name, HP CCs and all. Both of the companies were mentioned by other Xmembers in this thread. Cannot remember my NDA so Ill leave it there.
*The "Project Tiger" name is a reference to two things: First, there was a BOB hull mentioned once in the last 12 pages. Find that guy and maybe he has a picture of that BOB hull still. You will understand. Very cool paintjob. May have been from Cincinnati or something.
The other inspiration for the name, was hinted at over the years but never explained. People like Preston Tucker and Howard Hues inspired me to invent and innovate my whole life. In the "Tucker" film, Preston repeatedly sings this old song "Hold That Tiger" that apparently was popular back when he built those 50 cars, against all odds. Tucker, the movie version anyway, inspired tenacity. That is something I know this will take to ever
see through.
So, the BOB hull, with Bangle like paint scheme and the idea of building this thing, no matter what it takes, with innovation and tenacity Is where "Project Tiger" came from.
*I have all kinds of ideas in my head. Some that would probably cause interesting people to show up and ask questions
so, I just keep those ideas safe in my head.
But while I haven't made nor may ever make my own free energy device
I still intend to see this "Project Tiger" through. Thank you for staying tuned!
