Why aren't the kavinci motor mounts being made anymore? Is there something I should know? I'm running them, haven't had an issue so far...

I didnt get an explanation for this, but also didnt pressure Chris for one. I was hoping for them. Liked the design, and they seemed like they would be good...

Saw them ar daytona. They worried me that they would be too solid and you would have no fail safe if you hit bottom etc, and the inserts would rip out instead of breaking motor mounts. idk if this would happen, just my thought on them.

Well the build got put on a slight pause due to me moving into a new house with a larger garage/shop. Slowly getting everything situated, and everything should come together a little quicker now. I still need to check my pump alignment, but I have every intent of keeping the kavinci pump. When I pulled the pump, I didnt notice any concerns like I have seen with others.

I got all three of my "projects" situated in the garage. With xmas coming up, and traveling back to Nebraska to see family, ill be surprised if I get the 964 into the hull before the end of the year. Motor is suppose to arrive Friday, but still waiting for exhaust manifolds to be ready to get my tnt pipe.

Erik did send me some pics before he packaged the motor up.

also, I am on the quest to get some touch up paint. I was somewhat dissapointed to learn that Krash wasnt able to provide anything. Hopefully I can find somewhere local that can whip something up. Unfortunately I need to get two different pinks to fix the small shipping scratches.

Even with a couple small scratches your ski is still the most beautiful hull on the face of this earth.

Try to have the whole ski Re-clear coated. I planned on doing it to mine but I got impatient lol. Now my ski is full of nicks where the stickers peeled up.. But I also ride in coral sooo its mostly self inflicted.

That one was already drilled and tapped for me. There is an insert next to it that isn't drilled yet and I'm too scared to do it.

Mine was on the other insert from the factory, I'm going to drill and tap one in the same spot yours is for another hull hook for the gas tank strap. It's aluminum under there, should be easy.

I did and the plate, in my hull, was very thick. Went real smooth just made sure to stay in the aluminum...If those plates were shorter, closer to the motor, the limited slip tank would fit perfectly. I'm gonna cut the front half off those inserts and re glass to get my tank fitment more snug

What size Is your tank? Or I guess what size do you think would fit real snug like?

Well I finally got the ski on the water. It wasn't how I had planned or even considered until this last week. There was a group of us in Colorado that wanted to ride yesterday, so I made myself join. I stole the 701 out of my square nose just so I could get the 50 out to the lake. I am still waiting on my tnt pipe, and havent tuned the carbs yet so this was the only real option to actually ride. It was a great idea. Riding the krash was so much fun. I can't wait to take it out again.
