I just can’t seem to stop buying more Milwaukee tools.

I upgraded to the new fuel version of the sub compact bandsaw. It has nearly double the cut space and doesn’t power out at all. I was working with pvc conduit and the cut speed is amazing.

I’m still methodically replacing old corded tools with M18 versions so I recently swapped out the jigsaw, orbital sander and 1/4 sheet sander.

The new house has a lot more trees so I also picked up an M12 pruning saw. I was going to wait for the M18 version but figured the smaller M12 might be better for my wife but I’m finding it stalls out too easy. I think it will get better once the blade dulls slightly.

My wife says I have a problem!

That stuff is way too orginized I could come up there and by the end of day I would have that all sorted for you.

So Milwaukee is releasing a track saw… any clue on exact date? I think I read “October”, but would like to know if there’s more specifics somewhere.

There’s no secret than I’m a Milwaukee fanboy so you know it’s gotta be something special to make me buy another brand at this point.

I knew I wanted this new Ryobi toy from the moment I saw it online a few months ago and I had to have the first one my local store brought in.

Ryobi’s new 40V 12T Kinetic Cordless Log Splitter.

That little splitter is quite nifty. For anyone else curious about kinetic splitters, here’s where it started: https://www.supersplit.com/

If you go through a lot of wood, once you use a supersplit, anything else short of a full on processor is not acceptable. The knockoffs from DR and such are what you’d expect from knockoffs, too. Anyway… fyi is all.

Yup, that’s the unit that kicked off my infatuation with these over 17 yrs ago. A buddy raved about them and finally bought a pair for his rental fleet. He dropped one off at my house for a weekend and I've been hooked on them ever since.

I don't do enough wood to justify one of the commercial units so I was going to pick up one of the smaller knock-offs for $700 when I stumbled on this unit. So far I am not disappointed. I have over 3 cord of wood to split and stack into our new shed and we will do a cord or two a year after that so now was a good time to invest in a splitter. It's compact size, portability and 12T power rating checked off all my boxes.

It does eat through the batteries though. The supplied 4Ah battery is good for splitting around 28 rounds and the charger takes about 2 hrs to charge from dead. I'm already watching sales for additional batteries and a rapid charger. I have been thinking about getting a backpack blower and HD has a 40V dual battery backpack blower kit that includes 2 6Ah batteries and the rapid charger for $30 less than the battery kit alone so that kills two birds with one stone and gives me plenty of battery power.

I'm also looking to adapt a hitch hauler with ramps to carry the thing around. I'd like to take this thing to the bush so I can leave all the mess behind and just carry home split wood. I've also dropped off a couple loads of wood at a friends house that I plan to go over and bust up for him. It's weight is just enough that one guy isn't loading or unloading into a truck bed alone. That same friend does wheelchair ramps, lifts and hoists so we were looking through his stuff last night for an OCD solution.

Anyone use an electric pressure washer? Theres random points in the year which I want one, but certainly don't use one with enough frequency to prevent the gas going bad between intervals if I am being honest. Electric seems like a decent route.

There’s more than one tool company that has MANY subsidiary companies that they own. That is not a secret. Let’s not act like Ryobi is on the same level of Milwaukee, dewalt, or makita though. It’s not even close.
You are correct just letting you know that MILWAUKEE tools are made in China just like everything else, they are not the holy grail that everyone thinks they are.

I have a spare charger and a good battery left over from my 1/4" ratchet, the battery is good, it charges and it holds a charge, I will let it go for a reasonable sum to anyone that can use it, I don't plan on going the Milwaukee route again , at least not in the foreseeable future anyway.
