98 Gp1200, center rod broke and cut both case halves completly in half. Only part that connected the front to the rear was the crank and about a 1/4 of the read cage intake surface. Destroyed cases,crank cylinder, reed. I heard pieces of aluminum hit the inside of the hull when it blew. If you look close you can see the bottom of the hull through the gap.

LOL... Yeah, Donnie rebuilt the motor and got rid of the GP. He's a solid stand up guy now.

That motor put up with who knows how much abuse before it let go. Who says a triple cant live on 185lbs of compression on pump gas.

I don't know about triples but a twin can deal with 185 on pump gas.

Dunno what the go was here, but I think I might have had a blockage in the carb or something!

Cylinder is surprisingly good as all of the material went out the exhaust port.

I thought that way too right after I got my sxr which is on its 3rd rebuild and second cyl.! Just keep hanging out on this board you'll catch up, meanwhile get a digital camara and start practicing!!! Just kidding!
