motor carnage

98 Gp1200, center rod broke and cut both case halves completly in half. Only part that connected the front to the rear was the crank and about a 1/4 of the read cage intake surface. Destroyed cases,crank cylinder, reed. I heard pieces of aluminum hit the inside of the hull when it blew. If you look close you can see the bottom of the hull through the gap.

Dunno what the go was here, but I think I might have had a blockage in the carb or something!

Cylinder is surprisingly good as all of the material went out the exhaust port.
