well thats 9000 rpms, jump a wave with a begginer on board and at:

I thought that the stock rev limit was about 6800 - 6900. If you have beginners riding the ski then set it about half way which should be around 8000. No matter where it is set you should teach / practice throttle control. This will do more to save the engine from excessive over rev than anything else.

what what is the range then - Is it 7000 to 9000?

PS its hard to tell a person who is on it for the first time in their life many things they will remember:doh: and lets face it thats how we all got started therefore I don't mind getting people to try it in order to increase SUR population

Just tell them to let off the throttle when the ski comes unhooked(when its jumped)and you should have no problems.

The adjustable Rev Limiting function of the Enhancer Ignition is pre-set at the factory at 8000 rpm. Its adjustable range is from 5500- 9000 rpm. With this in mind, every 1/3 turn is approx. 1100 rpm.

turn it clockwise all the way to 9000 and then back it off just a bit and set it. thats what i did. counterclockwise to lower rpm.

me neither.
my boat is max rpm limit, and so is my sons.

its never been an issue, I normally let off when the pump is unhooked.
BUT sometimes I dont.

i haven't either, i think mine must be set at about 8800 and i have let many of newbies rip the SN. i just tell them to practice throttle control and NEVER let go of my handle bars...ever. lol.
