My 91 SN SuperJet + Full SN Winter Project

Hello guys!

just got my 91 SN last week, bone stock and in perfect condition;
both cylinders are 155PSI, fuel lines are not hard and fuel tank is not yellow!

so far i just took stock turf off to install diamond grey hydroturf, and talking to a fellow member on here about buying his aluminum pole.
ski came with some footholds installed already, I think I'll keep them for now.

I want to ask you guys for any advice on mods that really work and not just for looks!

I have GP1300R with rive stage2 doing 76mph on gps, so i'm not looking to swap any engines to go faster, but rather install mods that will help maneuver better and holeshot mods aswell, basically anything that will give advatage in freestyle riding...

sorry for poor cellphone pictures, will take better pictures later!

that piece has a hole in it, and what is it for anyways ??

That piece is the stock bilge pump.

For mods, I'd look for an aftermarket stainless impeller, an intake grate, and a pipe.
For maneuverability, a shorter pole and tubbies (front sponsons) would on the top of my list.

Id assume that the stock bilge pump is :):):):), and how does it work since i didnt even see any wires going from it ??

thanks for the mods list, I guess its pretty straight forward...

The stock bilge pump works off the jetpump suction and does a fine job. No need to mod that for now.

witch of this stuff should i get ?
please list others if this is not the best out there ?

thanks...

Factory type 8 Pipe
Coffman Lightning exhaust
Jet dynamic rideplate
quadra-fin rideplate
Skat track Impeller 12-20 pitch
OutLaw intake grate

Don't even think about getting a Type 8 pipe.
That's for highly modified 701 or bigger engines.

I am not sure about the Coffman lightning. Unless you plan on getting a 701 motor, get a cheaper 650 pipe. Coffman sizzler, or a B-pipe even (not really for a 650, but it will work)

I don't know about the impeller, either - make sure it's not too steep for your motor.

is it worth going 701 ?

what is needed to convert my stock 650 to 701 ??
any problems when doing such swap, will i need to jet my carb ?

is there a little metal bracket holding the stock bilge down? doesnt look like it in the pic. its supposed to be sitting flat on the bottom of the engine compartment. is there a hose connected to it?
if there is a hole in the top of it i would just fix/plug it and use it. you can also find one really cheap if you wanna replace it.

no, there is no bracket holding it down, its bouncing around on the buttom,
yes there is a hose connected to it, the hole is on the side, but looks like its rubbed thru by something, is there suppose to be a hole there at all ?
how does the water get inside the bilge pump ?

thanks....

was getting my hull ready to install hydroturf around the trim,
so took the stock plastic trim off and discovered this front nose damage to the lip.

whats the best and quickest way of fixing this ??

thanks again !!

Should be a little metal arm holding it down. I wouldn't worry about that hole. That line runs back to the pump where a suction is created causing it to syphon. If you look in the pump from the back you will see a tube coming out into the reduction nozzle.

If you are installing turf I would seriously think about installing real foot holds. Now is the time. Tom21 here on the boards is making some for around $50.

I would start with the following mods:
Prop( call Dave at Impros)
Intake grate( Worx 201 preferred)
Straight bars w/ shortened steering system(like the x metal setup)

These are all mods that will give you a good bang for the buck.
I wouldn't spend a ton of money on engine/performance mods. Save your money for a future 701 swap.

I have seen a fair amount of guys trim down the big lip on the front of the square nose. That way it won't break as easy.
Basically just take a grinder and trim the whole bumper up a ways. it can look a little funny but it will be tougher.

hhmm, this sounds interesting and easy, as long as this doesnt have any ill effect on the body stracture...
