Your very welcome son! I had lots of fun doing whatever machine work I could for you, espically when we removed the old sleeves and installed the new ones! When I was there when you first fired it up at CS PERF. it sent chills up my back, just like listening to a SB-2 on the dyno at 8900 rpm!Anything else I can do for you and all my buds at CSP,let me know.We can't wait for the next event at Lake Norman!BTW,does Bella(your boxer) have Gene Simmons (from KISS) tongue????? LMAO!!!

Well I checked compression today and its 185 psi, I think alot of oil was in the motor the first time I checked it. Thats where I wanted it anyways. Also looked at the cylinder walls and they look good, just a few light lines/scratches nothing to worry about. may ride it today not shure. Plugs looked dark with some carbon on the electrode, a new set may be in order.

A big storm just passed us, and with a pregnat wife IS why I say maybe...

Ha, I hear you.
I just finished my build, but hardly any of my buddies are riding yet.
And the water is still only 47 degrees.
Plus, GTAIV is coming out tomorrow, so that'll keep me busy.
Not to mention the Wife's Squarenose that needs to be prepped for paint & assembly.

It's a bit nippy, but I've been out in colder.
I went out on Jan 1st for novelty, water was about 36.

Still, 47 is cold enough to where you don't want to try rolls, etc, because of the nipp factor.

mid 80's- don't hate.

Finally got mine put back together. ended up with the same compression, and I fired it up last night -sounded a lot better but that don't mean much. when its on the water I will really know if its sorted or not.

Bross we have just a few differences- Riva head, LA sleeves, home porting but otherwise I think we are very similar built. I even did the same with the flame arrestors.

will report back later.:headbang:

Shes due on Dec. 8 so we cant tell what it is yet, either way I'm stoked!

Oh yea, the compression is in my target, so I cant complain-even with that compression it hits so hard.

Tom the water temps here are around 72-75 degrees this time of year. :hitwithrock:

Also you're running Northwest or Riva sleeves and virtually the same setup, the only difference is you milled .050" of the bottom of you cylinder and the rest off the top.

I would be very curious to ride both setups and see how they perform.

Bross, that's a clean looking engine compartment and you do great work.
