What front axle do they install? an older ford driver drop hi-pinion 44, or one of the twin beams used in the 80s - 90s? I'm assuming if they stick with coil springs up front they have to be using the twin beams....?
They use either D44 or D60s, leaf sprung on the Fords and pretty sure they use the standard GM torsion bar IFS components on the GM vans. (for the Quigley vans that is)
Not anymore. IFS up front now.GMC is Dana 60 with leaf springs in front, rear is factory 1 ton.
I think the coolest would be ski on the bottom, then a raised roof / high top with enough room for a bunk to sleep in.
THAT would be the hot set up.
