Custom/Hybrid My Wifes Rok-r build ....

So I figure its about time to start this build thread. I bought this hull off of Steve at Trendsetters mid winter for a winter project for me and my wife. Hull seems to go together easy as pie minus the waterbox fitment. I was working in china when my wife started on it . Here are the goodies:
2011 - WDK Rok-R hull white gel coat
61x/62t shortblock (for now)
monkey grip motor mounts
ada lightweight couplers
cold fusion midshaft
stock 38mm carbs
limited b-pipe
x-metal water box
cast RRP pole
epic ignition
lightened stock flywheel
jss coil
ada head
stock 144 yama pump
skat-trak magnum c+75 12/17 swirl impeller
some other goodies.
begin such a different hull I wanted to start with a fairly tame motor to really feel what the hull is capable of. Ideally I would like a 771 but if it turns out to be a blast maybe will move to a 950

total of 4 shims on the motorIMG_0876.jpgIMG_0879.jpg
since there was already holes drilled (weird spot) for ebox we made an aluminum bracket and installed eboxIMG_0955.jpgIMG_0956.jpgIMG_0957.jpgIMG_0960.jpg
I use rubber washers on all exterior bolts/pissers/etc touching the paint

Ski is sweet! Also dig the colors. Wife has good taste. Was that 89 lbs on the hull + a 12 lb hood? Cold fusion mid shaft only -0.2 lbs doesn't seem like too much of a loss in weight though. TDR waterbox may fit nice. Very compact.

Maybe you could go to a N.Y.N.J.A chamber from Rad Dudes/ Ebay. It would mount the chamber in front of the fuel tank and then you could run a hose back to the waterbox. I just bought one from a member recently. I just got it so I haven't tried it out. It looks like a decent chamber, but kind of cut up looking. It reminds me of the Works Pro Circuit pipes from my moto days, I kind of like that look. Nice looking boat, good luck with the build.

I don't think with the forward motor like this that the ninja nor the b1 mod will have room between the tank and motor to fit that pipe! Tight fit it looks like unless I'm wrong ? Seems like the pfp is the way to go with these non set back rok r hulls

My wife gas a tdr in her fx1. I might give it a shot but I have already hacked up the xmetal. It will work. This hull is great to work on. The engine bay has tons of room on it. The electronics are easy access. Very impressed with the quality so far.

Sorry the weight was with hood as well.

On my BC (different, but still has a semi tight waterbox area) I was going to knock the feed off my TDR until I found a old style (Round) Xmetal waterbox from that 4Seasons guy. It fits nicely.

What kind of ride plate are you going to run on it?

I hacked off the 90 on the exiting end it helped and I shortend the 45 on the other side. We also chopped the B-Pipe about 1cm shorter. She is going to run the long one for now. I need to order a short one for WDK. I ll try today to get a hold of him.

What battery's are you guys using with these hulls? Shorai? Anti gravitys? 12 or 16 cell? That battery box looks tiny

You should check out that H20 designs waterbox, It's rounder and not as tall and wide as the X metal, sounds awesome. I had the same problem on my Q8Picture 247.jpg
