So how was the forward air experience? I thought I was watching fork lift nascar when I went and couldn't believe no one hit anything or anyone in the hour I was there.

Forward air sucked today. I was there for an hour. I followed the desk lady's instructions to park my truck and stand at the top of the ramp. After 20 minutes I went back to her to find out that she forgot to give my paperwork to someone to get it for me. Then I waited another 20 minutes for someone to get it for me. Then the computer system showed it wasn't paid for and he went back in an office for 15 more minutes to straighten it out. Then we loaded it and I had to hear all about him rebuilding his seadoo and claiming that he has seen people "dive them".

Sounds incredibly similar to my experience. My paperwork was handled properly the first time but the guy before had that missing paperwork issue and right as the forklift driver went to get my package, he got flagged to grab this other guys stuff first because the ramp was blocked by some other dude. Then after 30 minutes of listening to this guy talk about how hard his life was and how some tv he bought is better than the one he sees on the floor there, I got the same issue of the computer not showing it being paid for.

Finally got started today! I did some grinding to get the pump shoe to fit. It seemed to sit at an angle. I put the pump in without a seal to see how it lined up and this is what I got.

You can see how much grinding I had to do. Not too much. You can see how much space there is on the right between the hull and the pump shoe when the pump is aligned with it. Not a lot but a little bit. I figure I can fill it with pliogrip.

Is everyone installing the pump shoe and then the rest of it, or installing it all at once?

Does anyone think I should leave some space for the pump seal between the pump and shoe or will the seal compress enough that it will not matter?

I have decided not to use the lightweight aluminum rear exhaust tube I got from Chad. If you want it for $100 shipped let me know.

l put the pump seal on when l mocked mine up.Don't know what anyone else did.l think you would want to have it in place for the correct spacing.

What are you gonna use for an exhaust pipe?

One step at a time to answer your first question.Make sure you are perfectly aligned with your pump and shoe to the hull.At the same time be sure the seal is even all the way around the shoe.Does that make sense?
