Im looking to buy my first jet ski, I own 2 Wave runners, but I want to get into the stand up world. I come from a motocross background and I want to start racing jet skis. I want to know whats a good ski for racing, that can be loaded with mods. Is it better to get an older or new ski? I've also browsed around at some of these custom hulls whats the deal with those. Please as much info as possible, educate me. Price is unlimited.
Thanks

Wow..... Welcome to the X!

If you are happy with your Yamahas then I would suggest you get a Yamaha Superjet. If you are serious about racing consider a Kawasaki SXR or 08' Model Superjet. Custom Hulls are for PImps Only!

yea if you plan on racing 08 superjet or a kawi SXR will be best. custom hulls mostly freeride. what class do plan on racing? because that is where you will run into a wall with aftermarket parts.

Since price in unlimited, you have to either go with the Hydrospace S4 Turbo or Kawasaki SX-R with the SeaDoo 951 in it.

The 2008 superjet is kicking some serious azz on the race course...and you can still take it out freeriding for a good time. their is also tons of after market parts available for it too

Steve, can you offer a turnkey, lightweight 951?
Sure!!...why not! I've built more 951 than I can actually remember . Maybe I should offer a turn key 951 lightweight 70mph+ bad mofo!!:headbang:

Now taking orders!

Oh!...by the way, there was an sxr at WF with a 215hp rotax 4 stroke!! Now there another idea

If you are just getting into racing I would suggest a Kawi SXR. Run stock class. It is one of the most fun and most competitive classes out there and you don't have to break the bank to get out there. I used to race limited and stock and enjoyed stock class more.
