Octane need some serious help with my 03 octane

i bought a 03 octane 2 years ago all taken apart, put it back together and it runs on the trailer put it in the water and it has as much power as a js440 aka NO BALLS. did a compression test 135 psi each cyl, rebuilt the top end and went through the carbs. put it in the water same thing. high comp dohms so now the ski has 160psi in each cyl, put it in the water same thing, just checked the reeds they were like new, checked the ports in the factory pipe to see if they were clear and they were, i have no idea what to do next or what to check anyone have any ideas???

Absolute long shot but...

Yesterday I lost a little cap I had over a second return fitting on my gas tank. I needed it when I tried a stroker motor that had dual returns.

My gas tank had no pressure in it and my ski ran like crap under load but great on the beach.

Is your fuel system tight?

i went through the carbs again last night they are like new inside and out, the impeller is new and there isnt a thing in the pump i looked at that tonight...is there a common issue with the CDI units? any way to check mine ill do anything to ride this thing this year!!

pull plugs out and check for spark.. this doesnt seem like the issue since it runs
if its not the pump then my guess would be your fuel lines
pull your return line off and blow in your check valve and see if it holds pressure

well i will have to pull the engine to check the sheard flywheel key idea so i could replace the crank seals while im at it, but that is the absolute last chance resort after i replace the CDI and other BS if thoes are the problems

Check your timing.
Have you rejetted the carbs? If not, call Watcon for his kit, helps a lot.
Crank seals shouldn't that big an issue. My Octane ran with one bearing completely shot, no front crank seal, and a marginal (at best) rear seal.

Also what spark plugs are you running? If they are a resistor plug you might want to try and run a non resistor plug. Just buy plugs with out the "r" in it (br8es-resistor, b8es-non resistor). I had a similar issue and fought it for 4 months and it turned out just being my plugs.

If your riding the ski, what happens if you hop the ski a little while holding it wide open? Will the engine rev up when you hop the pump out a little? I had a similar issue with mine, but when you got it to rev up it ripped until you slowed down again. Ended up just being jetting and pop off.
