A little about me....I worked in a small shop in So Cal in the early 90's. That being said, I haven't had anything to do with ski's since then. I have always wanted to get a Superjet and get back into it but time, space and other hobbies always got in the way. One of the guys at work got an X2 and that kickstarted me to get going on this. My plan was to buy an old non running 650 and put a 701 motor into it. The Craigslist trolling began and here is where I am. First, the trolling led me to a free 96 Waveraider 760. The outside was a little rough but the motor fired right up even with the old fuel and the outside cleaned up with a heavy pressure washing. I guess the 701 will now be a 760.Next, I was back to Craigslist to find a 650. Luck was on my side again and I picked up this with the trailer for $350.Of course,I am going to need some parts so, I scored a 650 motor and electrics for $50 again on Craigslist. I feel like I went from nothing to a hoarder in a matter of days. The Superjet is in poor shape and needs a ton of work but it does have a few really good points. 1. Factory B pipe 2. Al Handle Pole (MMF I assume). The plan as of now is to build a super nice Stand Up and get together another reliable motor to put in the Raider. Most of it is already broken down and I will post picks of the good, the bad and the just plain ugly later this weekend or early in the week.
