I will be running a hooker 10/16 tomorrow for the first time, both on mine and my friends ski. both are rn superjets, mods are

ski 1 - 701, ada head 170 psi, factory b pipe.
ski 2 - lammey 771, ada head 180 psi, factory b pipe, pump stuffer.

both have intake grates and d cut ride plates.

the lamey ski had the new motor and prop installed since last ride so comparo will be hard, but the 701 will give a good idea of the performance impact of the hooker since that is the only change.

I'm surprised you didn't go with a 9/15 on ski 1.

friend's ski (ski 1 - head, pipe) was in the water yesterday, he said the 10/16 hooker had better bottom end than the solas 13/17 (i think that's what was in there before, he said it was described as a 'freeride prop'). but it gave up a little on the top end. he's very happy with it, well, until... he sucked up a big rock in knee deep water, it got STUCK in the pump/prop. have to remove the prop to get the rock out. i didn't get to ride it.

ski 2 (my lamey motor ski) didn't go in the water yet, bad starter switch :(

Still Fat....
i just had mine reset to a 10/16
i am going to re-try the 9/15 again
i like that real low end pop it has
i also love the 13/15 4m cut too

i just rebuilt the motor and wanted to see how i liked the 10/16
it's pretty good, although i did not get alot of ride time on it.

I put a 9/17 with a 6mm cutback in my 701'ed and 140mm pump'ed js550. It RIPs!! Good impeller, still have a little cavitation but I think thats a bad silicone job mixed with an over aggressive toploader. Just need to see what it will be like when matched with a TBM pumpcone.

Lets not forget that DAVE IS THE MAN!

Fox, Keep us posted if the TBM fixes the cavitation. I have been waiting to order a 9/17 hooker for my stock hull 800 x2. If there is still cavitation with the hooker prop... I might just drop the $$$$ on the 650 mag pump. I have not been able to get a K650 pump to hook up anywhere remotely close to my yammy 144 pump X2.

friend's ski has the solas back in it because of the rock damage to the impros. he said 'there's no comparison' the impros is hands down way better.

my ski is finally in the water the last couple days. the impros is awesome. not able to compare to previous because the motor/carb is new and more powerful. but absolutely no complaints and not looking to change props.

well...
i went back to a 91-15 Hooker prop
all i can say is this thing truly rocks awesome
pops nicely on the bottom end
very throttle responsive, decent speed too
i felt it revs quicker and easier then the 10-16 (think thats what the last one was)
i still have the 13-15 concord 4mm cut, which i also loved, but the hooker prop is way more responsive downlow, expecially for my fat as$

so how did they compare in the stock vs. Lamey setup? did it work well in both applications??

10/16 works great on both (the stock one has a head/b pipe so not quite stock).

ordering another 10/16 hooker now to replace the rock damaged one. can't wait for repair need another asap. the old solas just ain't fun anymore.

I got my 9/15 Hooker installed and took it out for a test run today. I had a 13/17 Solas Concord before and the Hooker does pull harder than the old one. It also seems to stay hooked up in the chop a little better too. Don't know about top end...I'll have to race my buddy that got the Solas from me.

I'm ordering a 9/15 today looks like. ported 760 61x, taper bored 44's, Enhancer, pump gas, B mod, should work well with it. I rocked my Concord 13/16 at the last show 2 weeks ago so need to get something better in there.

BTW, here's the rock that wedged in my Concord and took a socket extension to pry it out.

Hey Darin, we both have the same motor setup, Dave recommended the 10/16 for it. That is what I have been running.
