Do they get shipped from Thailand (or wherever they are manufactured) to Australia and then to the customer?

Thailand was my hearsay. First Australia then the production was moved to Thailand. I think with nick Barton's dads business or something like that. Probably all lies. Probably made in Matt's backyard and it still took a year to get.

the below statement is killing me here! it just goes to show the customer service in this industry is HORRIBLE and I do not see that changing. Comunication may be better with some but lead times are BS from most all.

Must be seven years of WDK bashing coming home to roost, idk.

Funny you say that. There was this guy who was building hulls and ride plates that turned into a total clown........... screwed people over......... he disappears then comes back and signs up with a new name and account and it trying to sell parts again.............. Maybe this 2nd chance will go better for him............

But I agree, Customer Service has gone to the pits in many cases......... but there are some cases where it seams these new start up builders are doing "the right thing"............ Maybe their is some hope.

Lots of hearsay.......Big problem on the X.

My Rocket was one of the last few made in Australia, then production was moved to Thailand.Nick's father has had business there before.Krash was looking at production costs (just like other business's) was the reason.

Yes,Nick was difficult at times to get a hold of.l bitched about communication several times to others on here. But he never lied and was straight forward on anything l asked him.Took me four months to get mine,so yep a little slow.

4 months is good in my book. Did not know they outsourced production............ Could be good or bad............
Most MTB's are welded up there........... They have gotten the quality down to an art on that side. Maybe they can do the same with these (Not saying quality was bad to begin with).

The quality in Asia has less to do with being made in Asia and more to do with how much the customer (not the end customer but the designer/distributor in which the manufacturer is building parts for) is willing to pay.

Not looking at a Cost Per Unit standpoint................ Looking at it from Construction Standpoint. Use to most Mountain bike frames that came from ASIA were the low end, mass produced.......... Now many Higher end bikes are being built there and the quality is very good............. That my point, that in many cases they are building a good product, not some ASIA crap like you use to see. It all boils down to the Quality Control programs set in place.......... MFG "Atomic" may build parts for Company "Ninja" and also for "Slug"....... Slug may be very Quality Control Specific and the product comes out the meet the expectations. Ninja on the other hand may have alot looser Tolarence on the QC level and exact same type product comes out looking like pure Parrot Poop.............. Parrot Poop is heading to Target with the Schwinn Name Plate, and The Slug product is going to your LBS under the GT Badge............ Both products are built in the same building by the same workers...........

But I do agree with your statement from the "Willing to Pay" standpoint.

This quote is from Krash's FB page: " Its been a big year for Krash taking our production to foreign shores to see the demand meet with shorter waiting times, better quality and the ability to continue to make and create the best freeride and freestyle hulls in the world."

Nick was great to deal with during the purchase of my hull, a little hard to get a hold of sometimes but he would always end up getting back to me. I ordered mine in Sept and got it in Feb so it was about 6 months for mine, but mine was produced in Australia.

hhh
Qc is expensive for the most part. Some are willing to pay others aren't. We have fixed more then a few fixtures built in Asia and canada. The price up front is appealing to some, but by the time we fix them they would have been better off coming here in the first place.

Mine was supposed to be done in January. He knew I was going to put a 155 mag in it one way or another. In February Nick contacted me and said he was changing the molds for the bigger pumps and offered me the first 'new' hull out of the mold plus a couple extra benefits to make it worth it. Neither of us expected this to take more than a couple of months.
I agreed to it, and here we are in September - almost a year later. I think actual order date was probably very late September if not early October.

Kinda funny I don't recall ever having dealings with you. But you sure do stalk my name because any chance it comes up you feel the need to bash me. I dunno I guess that's the moderators job. Yea I did get tied in with the wrong person years ago and it did give me a bad reputation. I've since then washed my hands and started over.its simple if you don't like me don't buy from me. I don't make a living doing this I do it because the sport is expensive. I have something I can offer at a reasionable price to help make it affordable. I guess mabe I just need a big name and jack my price up give you reason to bash me.

Living the dream!
As said by others earlier hulls are now made and shipped from Thailand due to elevated costs of production in Australia.
I ordered mine end of June and just received it a few weeks ago. Shipping was a bit of a nightmare but all sorted in the end. Communication was a little hard sometimes due to time differences etc but Nick was pretty good at answering any questions. He seems like a pretty genuine guy trying to develop his business and ride, compete at the same time.
Quality of the hull is good so the wait is somewhat worth it in the end. Now I've just gotta get it built up, seems to be taking forever!!!
