Looks good dude, build thread means you are going to wrap it up for this season! I like the looks of the line, I wouldn't chop the hood. However I would have the line from the nose up the hood flow more at the top. Wasn't sure if the hooks were in and if the hood would depress more. Not sure if taking off some of the top of the hood or add some to the nose piece be the right answer but a heck of a lot better than most squares turn out with the rocker for sure! Keep up the progress Steve

I have been thinking about that myself. I originally planned to drill a bow eye, but the lip is a little too tight underneath for that. Anybody have any good ideas?
I like to use aluminum handlebar clamps (like UMI). Crappy pic but it's all I could find.

I've been searching for some cool billet ones on ebay in different colors, this is all I have really found so far.

I did a similar fuel fill area on my X2 and did not like how it held water. If I were back at the beginning, I would have put in something stylish that let the water drain away from the fill.

Good thought - It is hollow underneath, I will think about drilling some drain holes or some other solution.

You've probably already reinforced it and don't want to make any cuts, but a small slope in the front that complements the hood lines going into the nose could look real good. My drywall method works real good for tiny patches like that. That's what I was going to do with mine but switched hulls. The stock X2 uses a small hole with a hose that runs over to the pissers to let water drain out of the fuel fill area.
