New PWC restrictions! Please leave a comment.

I got a few friends to do it also. I'm surprised that there aren't more comments, this thread has some 1,300 hits so far... C'mon guys, let's do a little better.

I lived in the San Jose/Fremont area for a year or so. California is a beautiful place. It saddens me that so many idiots live there. It's not just this issue, it's a mindset in general from a significant portion of the population. Whether it's PWCs, guns, ATVs, taxes... It's the same type of mindset. Not to entirely generalize the population, there are some great down earth people in the state.

I'll leave a respectful comment on the page later today.

Speaking of California and skis, whatever happened to the Oceanside PWC zone that you guys were fighting for?

Thanks Nate! 6 more days to go!

It's about the occasional PWC rider that chases birds.... we all know "that guy". Don't be that guy. ;)

Let's be clear on this ...... Geese ARE ok to chase . Other than that don't chase any wild life....

Put in my respectful 2 cents. Seems the manufactures should get in on this. We have had MTB and ORV trails shut down in ga and Tenn because people simply did not show up.

thanks sportfish! Same here, I went to the public hearing and it was just me representing PWC and 40 wackos whining about how the seagulls can't lay eggs because of the PWC and helicopter noise. It'll blow your mind the pearls that come out of their pieholes, they have all the time in the world to show up at these hearings. Like someone said on this thread earlier I believe, when we're not at work we're on the water having fun while they literally sneak these laws by unnoticed.

Thanks again for leaving a support comment. It helps tremendously every time someone does, because it neutralizes one of theirs. 2 more days left, then we wait for the decision...

I have become a member with AWA (American Watercraft Association) http://www.awahq.org/index.php I encourage everyone to do the same. It's why NRA are still kicking, because they're strong in numbers.

Also, I've got 5 people at work to send in support comments on Friday. Just looking at the comments count, it jumped by about 300 since last night! I really hope it's us and not them... 2 more days left...

I signed up with them, too.
Apparently they didn't know about it, neither did the manufacturers. It has been done very secretly and without much publicity except for the small enviro-wacko circles. AWA did get involved and sent some good comments in addition to urging their members to chime in.

I'm a little worried, after what MeanFZR said above I checked the number of comments and he is right, it jumped up by a lot. If it's them, it's not good.

Everyone needs to understand that every time they win and close a body of water, they can use that in courts as "precedent" and make it easier and easier to close more areas. The courts love that.

Last day everyone, have your friends do it also, it's for everyone's right to ride!!

Hi Quinc!

We're just waiting to see what they decide, it may take up to one year. The few of us who care have made some serious waves. The truth is that us pwc owners are probably the least organized and for the most part lack the motivation to stand for our sport. It's too bad, because if the estimated one million registered pwc users decided to get involved we wouldn't be in this position now.

Hopefully they will rule in our favor.

Here is a short (and rudimentary) video I took with my iPhone while fishing offshore on my wave runner FX HO on July 10. Forgive the poor quality camera work... That day I caught a salmon and 4 rock fish.

That's awesome, I like the fishfinder/vhf setup. I have always kinda wanted one of the cooler/rod holder racks for the back of my couch. I might use it if it was set up for salmon fishing.
