I know how many they brought and they didn't go home with any. So price wasn't a factor.
It's a very cool pipe. Todd will be messing around with it on his TPE 1105. We will see how she goes.

this pipe rips,just as any large pfp wet pipe does with todays HUGE cc motors,gets them off bottom end hard and quick.Only down side is its much bigger than a pfp and wont work with any of the larger fuel tanks that have come out for the pfp. Rok was running this pipe last yr and that ski was way ahead of everything else there. Its just trickle down tech making it to the rest of us at this point. they had a few secrets up there sleeve this yr as well. Just because its ridiculously priced doesnt mean there arent people willing to pay it. especially with a launch at a place like WF. It can be made for MUCH cheaper and probably will,along with a few other things.......

The shape is just a little tighter of a swoop so the thrust tank won't work. But Thrust said they are going to have a tank very soo for it. It's just the corner that need to be in like an inch to work. If you had a trust tank already I'm sure with a little heat you can push that corner in and be fine. We have been melting and changing shapes of tanks in the X2s for ever. So that's nothing new. Just wash it out good and take your time.

Well, now i guess someone is gonna make a replica of the RRP or PFP carbon pipe and sell for less. The after market hull exploded, the AM top ends are also growing, and we have seen the NYNJA pipe with manifold and headpipe. I guess there is someone who does it?

We eventually accept them because we are vein and want the best. And not many people in this world would invest the $ to make their own marketable pipe or pole or whatever because the market is picky and small. If I came out with a 615 drypipe for $500 less than a PFP most people would pass it by for fear it may not work, they would buy the PFP that MIGHT NOT LEAK instead.
I can promise that if I came out with a WET PIPE for $1000 less it would not sell like these RRP's will either LOL
Its a freakn wet pipe, the hard part of a PFP has been removed from the process and the price went UP. The stamping dies for the PFP cost ALOT of $, the molds for this RRP wet pipe wasnt 10% of the cost and material price is probably equivalent so WHY $1800 for less pipe and less technology? Because you will pay it LOL end of storry, why same as the RRP hulls, nice looking and all but they are heavy because they are not using new technology to produce them and using cheap labor to achieve the pretty aspect so you will by them LOL big name so you will pay.
If I thought I could get $6500 for a pretty painted glass hull I would quit my job and make hulls full time starting tomorrow and hire the bodywork out. Fact is ya cant unless you have the Rickter name.

Its bigger..CC it out with water,plug one end of both rrp and pfp,fill it with water and dump it in the other pipe,measure the extra cc water that wont fit.......not by much but its purpose built for the 1200 rok rode last yr

KTM, I have been chasing buoys for 20 years and I'm just now building my first freestyle ski. If the part is "freestyle specific" I feel lucky to get a lightened turd in a box for under $1800, that's if it's in stock... :261:
So if the PFP is sold out for $1500, then why wouldn't people throw down a little more for something comparable? You and Matt are right, everything is so expensive, people become numb to it.

sjetrider..Its really not so much in the name as it is a very smart marketing strategy with key connected dealers all over the world. Someone will remake this pipe because it is too simple to do so,no stamps needed. Ive always said building a motor/pipe for freeride/freestyle is so much more simple than racing when there is no need for top end sustained rpm and mph.wetpipe all the way There is a push going on and demand for affordable products,there are far more people willing to pay a fair price than the top 10% in the world with expendable $ and egos.
