yes pole moves the same as any stand up ski you can stand up it , its like a modem blaster that goes like hell .
it has a ported 701 , with B-pipe and MSD enhancer , it real hooks up well and jumps out of the water
im going to lengthen the pole as far as i can to make it easier for my daughter to reach as she is only 7 :-}
