Of course they are for real... Bad rep or not, how many Waterdawg ski's do you see out there? How many die hard Waterdawg customers love him, and are more than willing to deal with him?? Obviously enough to generate business, and hype. As said before, some of the shady business that's gone on in this industry lately makes WDK look GREAT.

Jeff built his own hull before blowsion, in his garage...it was a hybrid and is now the F1 pro
then came the X-jet...first a/m body style with different engine configurations
then the REV
then the 1200
then the ENVY
what I wouldnt give to crawl around inside jeffs brain for a few minutes....
if it will never get delivered how did I get mine?

It is a light weight SXR with your choice of driveline (Yami or Kawi..mine is Yami) and it is sickness in the surf!! SICKNESS!!! Try mine out in January....
january is too long to wait! im trying to decide on something new for the spring. The new hull has not been in the ocean yet but jeff says that the bottom is nearly the same as the envy. in fact im told even though the hull is much shorter than the envy the wet area is almost the same and they handle very much alike.
there are a bunch of revs down here but not one single envy. i have also been meaning to ask him what driveline/pump the new ski uses.

Supposedly it rides like an SXR in the surf, then if you pull the trim lever the entire wetted surface get shorter like a -4" hull, sounds weird to me.
On another note, I have no negative experiences with Jeff. Ordered a hood, shipped it the next day. I beat the crap outta it learning BR's, etc for 2 seasons and it started to separate slightly. I called him to ask a question about fixing it, he said send it back and he'd look at it. He replaced it with the hood of my choice and even paid the shipping. Said it was a bad epoxy run in the first few hoods.
