small update started porting

im worried my mate said it took him a week this took me a hour or so

it still needs some cleaning up

the exhaust port i didnt go wild on because with my budget i need things to be reliable and last forever

also i know they say exhaust port should be round 60-70% of piston dia thats huge and my one friend that did that caught rings.. plus doesn't that cause a bottle neck affect because your exhaust manifold isnt that large

anywhoo mindless rambling here are the pics

tell me what ive missed etc

I have never had a problem with rings with exhaust width at 67%. Radius on corners should be +-12mm. Porting mid to top of exhaust will boost power while on slightly raising peak hp rpm(more hit), porting mid to bottom raises peak hp rpm. You seemed to have done both which will give more hp but further up the rpm range.
You need to port further down on transfers as you will have created a bit of a hourglass shape which will disturb gas flow. In the Boost port pic(last pic) you can see a bump that needs to be blended out
You need put more bevel than standard on exhaust port to stop rings snagging

this is still a rough port and my first attempt

i dont know if its just the pics but when i look down the boost port there is no lump its a perfect ramp ill try take a diff pic but

will play some more tonight again

Pretty good for a first time.
If you bake the cylinders in the oven, you can tap the sleeves out with a nylon mallet. Transfers can then we checked/reworked easily. To put sleeves back in, put them in freezer, cylinder in oven. push/tap sleeves in and centre. Bolt on head and allow to cool.

so im following the masses with asics wrestling shoes

found a killer deal on split second 9's for only 30$ as they were missing the insoles no biggie i dont need that anyway besides they retail at 75$ so getting 45$ off for missing 7$ insoles is a bonus
