I just try something.
Hood will complete closed, air only through handepole. As seal i will use rubber on both sides, and a flat surface. around 1 inch rubber on rubber should be enough.
Just need to take my bracket and this stuff to do the middle of the hood. The hood in the back will become the same form then the tray, but its not 100 % done, so i got some time.

Hahaha! Yes!

I love that you're making your own hood. Thats awesome.

The pictures make it look like the contour on the right side doesn't match the left, but if I can see that i'm sure you do to, or its just a goofy photo.
I'm not 100% following how you're gonna seal the hood, but it sounds like you have a plan so i'll wait and see what you come up with.

Awesome stuff man.

I will keep the hood with 4 pins in position. Each corner of a, in the hood is always fixed, and lateral slip impossible. The sealing surface will be about 1 inch wide and flat. On each side is rubber, which is in the assembled state together. Front view hood holder or a threaded rod to tighten, and in the back the original holder, and a Hood Strap. That should be enough
