Could be snow squalls so I likely will not make it as the car (and driver) are not good in icy conditions. Best wishes to all who can get out. This could be the BEST waves of the year and the west winds could make them pretty clean.

Thats a bummer, here in cali right now air temps are 75-80 degrees and water temps in the ocean are 65 degrees. I dont know how you guys can deal with a short riding season, its riding season year round!!!!!

I always ask myself how you guys can ride year round! I know I would be injured more for sure if I rode year round and would end up missing 8 weeks one way or another!

yes, it sucks.

Army National Guard is now in town helping to dig out. The sun is out here now, but round two is expected to start up later this evening. Ran out to survey the area, stopped at Timmy Ho's for Coffee (they were closed) but ran into a carload of stranded Canadian girls trying to get home.

Just got home a little while ago... just started in on my first snow day bloody mary of the season. Looks like I may not be going to work tomorrow too.

We ride pismo every weekend, all year. Even when the waves are small the high tide will create some fun inside waves, when its triple over head there are 10 lines of over head+ white water to get past to get out to the fun stuff. Head high to double over head is the prime time stuff and all sand no rocks, its freeride heaven you can pull your truck right up to the water line. I feel for you east coast guys it must be a nightmare. We dont get hurt often cause we ride ALL the time and know our surf break pretty well, good luck over there stay warm!

Although we do break some stuff, we have Taylor Curtis who lives 1 1/2 away that dials our skis in and has every part on earth available for pick up at his shop, he is the man.
