I wanted to see how much interest there was in an NJ/PA freeride for 2008. It seems as though Seaside, NJ isn't a good location anymore for several reasons.

My initial thoughts:

1. Flatwater - Lake or river area in NJ/PA
2. Barbecue
3. Between 1 - 2 days
4. Mid summer time frame

Let me know what you think.

I vote Coresons...But Maybe we could get something in wildwood. The beach there is pretty cool:sneaky: and I hear the town is pretty freindly to Jetskiers.

Corsons is a great riding spot, just wish there was stuff by the riding area that non riders could do. Cant convince the wife to go there, she was bored out of her mind last time I brought her there.

Last year we did the DSlicker outlaw ride at corsons the weekend after labor day. We were planning it again this year aslo.

Mabe one day ill get married and then ill have my own ride at raystown:bananajump:
Jk im down for a corsins

I vote either Raystown or something in the surf!

Wallenpaupack's nice but there's already the 2 NJ/PA crew weekend camping trip/rides up there in July and August. (hopefully)

Plus it gets choppy as hell on the weekends up there.

But yeah, surf gets my vote.

I want to keep the Dslicker's Outlaw ride separate from this. I would also like to avoid Corson's because like Guiness said, there isn't much to do for others that don't ride.

Some other points:

1. As I said earlier, I want to have it on a river or lake because there are some riders who aren't comfortable with ocean riding. This would allow everyone to ride. Dan mentioned a good thing about permits, so let's shoot for a river ride.

2. I want to do this mid summer (June, July, August) when the weather is more predictable.

3. A river would also allow us to barbecue on the shore vs. the beach where you can't do anything according to policy.

Pocono's could work as could Raystown. How about Trenton area on the Delaware or even Bull's Island just North of New Hope?
