Bulls island would be good for a smaller ride. We could hang out on the wing dam or setup shop on Eagle or Hendrick Island. Sucks no booze or dogs in the camp ground though.

there is no way that there should be a flatwater ride in NJ? the ocean is right there!! that'd be like riding your dirtbike down the street when you have trails in your backyard.

Corsins is definetly the best spot for something like this there is bay and beach on the inside for those who dont want to ride ocean, and for those who want to ride ocean the break is a mile out. and the beach wraps all the way around into the bay near the boat ramp. the whole tip of the island is state park and your allowed to pull your ski up on the beach at any spot. there are no permits required. a few summers ago everybody i work with down the shore pulled up to the beach and were actually bbq'in on the beach. there is plenty to do around there. if you have a wife, she can hang out at the beach bar at the deauville inn right next to corsons, they can hang out on the beach, or send them to the boardwalk in ocean city(voted #1 family resort in USA). At night the bars in Sea Isle are a lot of fun.

Believe me there is plenty of room for a lot of skis at Corsons, there are people there all the time. It's definetly a family oriented spot.

Wildwood beach would definetly be worth looking into because the freakin beach is a half mile from the boardwalk to the waters edge, there are always motorsports event happening on the beach there, and there have been watercrat races on the beach there before. the only thing that needs looking into is insurance(which I can't see being much for a non-profit event, i've already gotten prices on an event with similar circumstances) and a temporary use permit probably.

first picture is looking at the boat ramp from the beach on the bay side. it is not an intercoastal waterway, and you can see there is plenty of room for ski's. there is twice as much room looking left, the inlet is also to the left of the picture. the beach starts from the boat ramp and wraps all the way around beyond where the picture is being taken.

second picturee shows where first pic was taken. where the point is where the beach is that you can pull up on. where the boat ramp, and where the waves break. you can beach on either point that sticks out into the inlet.

Whatever you guys do I'll be down for it!

About the issues with a permit and insurance. We are holding our first freeride (Upstate NY) and got Insurance through the AWA since we are a Charter club. Then getting the permit was easy since we had the insurance. We were apprehensive about even going to anybody about legal stuff but we are glad we did now. It really wasn't hard and everyone we have spoken to seems really cool with it and excited (the DEC, AWA, The town, ect)

The Outlaw ride is just people getting together not a sanctioned event or free ride. Hense the term "OUTLAW" ride at your own risk. We did it last year as just a get together of friends "the jersey group" as some would call us but all are welcome.

If someone want to put something together feel free but the outlaw is the outlaw.

Ant you can probably help me out here. We went to the bay in sea isle last year with some freinds to a restraunt with table in the sand. To the right of the restraunt there's a bridge and there was a beach where people had skis pulled up. 1/4 mile or so up there was an outlet to the surf. Any idea of what restraunt I'm talking about. I'll look it up on google earth later and get some more details.

But that would be sick. Not sure about the camping situation but it was a nice beach, and the bay's nice and wide for those who don't want to hit up the surf (???) Everyone could get lunch at the restraunt right on the beach (literally)

I'll look it up

I will. I plan on ridin alot more surf this year. I'll be going down to sea isle for a week starting july 16th and a couple long weekend hopeully and wasn't gonna bring the ski because I didn't think anybody really rode around sea isle. Is it a guarded beach or can you bring vehicles (jeeps and stuff) out there? My freind has a delaware fishing permit plate on his jeep and he can drive on the beaches in delaware year round.

If the break is a mile out, anyone got a boat for me to shoot from? I have a 17 foot KeyWest that I take outside fishing that I could drag down, but I would like something more stable to shoot from.

Can we drive on the beach down that way? How about we do a Corsons ride after labor day and a flat water ride mid summer?

That's exactly what I'd like to shoot for. Again, I'm not trying to replace the Outlaw ride or any other ride for that matter. I would like to schedule a FLATWATER FREERIDE mid summer where we can barbecue.

Your missing the point its OUTLAW. You just show up. Its not organized so no permit. :spank:

brent you can't just drive up on the beach in wildwood.... the only place you would be able to do it is north wildwood at the non life guarded beaches and even then you would have to launch at the ramp next to the bridge coming from stone hardbor into wildwood

ant, you bring up a good point but the insurance for something like that is a tad steep, something in the high 4k range i belive, i know for a two day even the insurance is 7k for the event weekend and if you are in the surf they will probably require an ambulance on site so tack on another 1500 for the weekend

i got that covered.... it's either gonna be a 24ft. century or a 31ft. pro-line depending on how the next two weeks go
