Custom/Hybrid No dasa , yes turbo !

will be interesting to see how you spool this turbo in its current config. Some sort of boost/rpm dependent fuel pump would make sense here, fuel pump spinning of the flywheel with with popoffs in line. going through a couple ar sizes to fine something that will spool in a instant with that little exh flow will be the biggest thing to overcome.
big props to innovations but lot more issues to overcome with a turbo in freestyle standup,I bet it sounds super sick... ,,,

Wow loads of props to you for attempting this, I get lazy just thinking of tuning one of these from the carb to the prop. I dont understand why a turbo, the lag makes me think this would be terrible for a freestyle set up, but you made it this far and im sure you have a plan. I think a major issue with turbo on a reed valve 2t is going to be over pressurizing the crankcase. The reed valve works off of crankcase pressure and piston travel, and now you're consistently pressurizing the intake charge before the reeds. Not sure if this is really a problem, its just a thought.

No way this works...

I have talked to several turbo specialists who say because of the open-loop cooling system and the water-injected exhaust, the turbo will never have the time or internal energy to spool up properly. You'll get lag on the bottom end all day and have a blip of super-torque between 7000 and peak rpm (7800-8000 rpm)... I am curious to know if this is correct or not, but it makes sense. Turbos hate cold exhaust fumes, and the exhaust-water will create really bad cavitation and excessive turbo blade wear... It's a brewin' for a big 'ol BOOM!

Edit:

The turbo is located funny off the exhaust as well... The pressure from the fumes will never be able to get the turbo up to speed because it will be released out the main exit versus directly through the turbo... This seems like a gimmick.

Hmm, I'm definitely curious to see if he can make this work. We run a lot of 2-stroke carbed turbo sleds here in Idaho and if they are set up right they work perfectly, no turbo lag, etc. But we also have a dry exhaust and clutching.

Man there's a lot I could say about this setup right now but I don't want to be too rude. I'll just sit back and wait for the carnage pics that we will never see

Forced air 2stroke skis don't work. The motors don't like it and tuning it would be a nightmare.
