Custom/Hybrid Nobody tweaks on a 550 this hard

We have been riding the past few weekends, haven't really filmed. It's a very fun ski, it's unpredictable at the same time it defiantly needs more power and pump (701/144). The ski is not going with him on the move ( Hawaii) for the time being.

If that option was on the table I would be with him, he took some shots on his go pro not sure if he's going to take the time to edit a movie...

The ski is super fun though, it love to be in the air and tossed around ,

Flat decks are nice but makes it a little harder to mount , but it's nice haveing so much room on the deck while riding I love this 550 so much fun

Update he blew the motor being a dumb ass, funny day lots of beer I was involved of Course, aways

We're throwing a 61x in It quickly before he Moves to Hawaii, holding out on the 144 conversion because of time but his blueprinted stock pump with dual cooling will work for now. Probably have a custom pitched prop made at Impros

So this all began back with an old Pjs race ski that i got off craigslist for 200 bucks. Paint was fresh, ski was bare for the most part besides a pjs ported race water box. Flat decked it and put a fresh rebuilt motor with a reed adapter and Sbn44 in it. Polished everything on the damn thing. Ran it HARD for a whole season, jumping wake and chasing every boat i could. Hull was cracking apart in numerous places, so i cut it all apart, shortend it 7 inches in the front and formed a custom nose, Cut about 5 inches off the back, full Carbon 2x2 12k Epoxy resin, Inside and out. Spent way to much time and drank a lot of beer to compete it. Custom everything, Superjet handle pole shorted 6 inches, And way to much more to even remember. Got about 8 rides on it, way under powered for the weight but still fun as hell!!! Sunk it, i may have been drunk... bent a rod or two. Sooo Now im putting a high compression 701 and Bpipe in it!!! That should solve my problem. Then eventually a 144mm pump. Built Not BouGHT.... CCFabrication

Given all the composite work, I would recommend widening the bond line, possibly lowering it.

That's where a lot of the magic is on these AM hulls.

Neat build tho...
